The pick up area was hard to find. The facility was filthy and ill kept. The clerks were surly and tried to upsell every customer leading to a huge line. Cars were barely cleaned. The Toyota we rented was dirty - it had been run though the car wash and left wet. We were happy to get a car though. There were very few at the facility. When we returned the car, no one greeted us and it appears we were billed twice for the rental and the voucher not honored Definitely will not be renting through Kayak again.Reviewed 18 Apr 2026

The car was just fine as far as a midsize model to drive which they only had one more to rent out the Weight at the DCA airport was almost 1 hour. The line at their rental shop even though I had a reservation was 45 minutes. I was told I would get an email of my receipt which I need to get reimbursed for work and to this moment I still don’t have an email. I was just lucky. I remembered the location to return it because I had no information given to me and I don’t know I checked the email with them and it should be correct but I do not have one at pick up or drop off.Reviewed 15 Mar 2026

The lady at the counter when I went to pick up the car was super nice. What I didn’t like: my flight got in after 11pm when Avis closed, but I knew that would be a problem ahead of time so I had called and spoken with someone and they assured me that they would wait for me. However I got off my plane and no shuttles were running for Avis and I wasn’t able to get my car that night. I had to wait till almost 7am before one of the shuttles would allow me to get in and for then to take me to Avis.Reviewed 9 Apr 2024

I was confirmed online, got dropped off and told they had NOTHING available. I had to walk back home in the rain because I had no transportation. I was not given an alternative location or an apology. I'll NEVER go there again even if it is only about 2 miles from me.Reviewed 12 Oct 2023
