Pros:good on gas.Cons:Thrifty is crooked -- no business competing head to head with the majors. FALSE ADVERTISING: exact same rate minus $1 vs competitors, BUT Thrifty DOES NOT include LIABILITY like all the others (I had to pay $12day), AND Thrifty has a mileage cap -- NEITHER of which was discoverable at time of booking, no thanks KAYAK!!! My $60 2-day rental wound up costing me $127, plus $25 in lyfts going the extra distance to the branch location. I am a sucker -- don't you be too! Hertz may seem $10 or even $20 more for comparable, but it's still a deal if you're going to drive more than 100 miles per day and don't have your own car insurance. To top it all off, the crooked guy who handled the return tried to gouge me for an extra 5c per overage mile -- he pointed to excess miles at 40c/mi and i said waitaminute, it's 35. he said, "no that's what he told you..." except i hadn't said he'd told me, he was just trying to get away with it. then he said "ok, i'll put it back..." again, admitting it had been 35c until he tried to gouge me on the spot. by far the most bare-bones rental i've ever gotten, at twice the usual pice -- not even power windows or locks!!! Absolutely crooked -- BEWARE.Reviewed 21 Mar 2021

Closed earlyCons:I selected a 6 p.m. pickup time. Turns out that this office closes at 6 p.m., and they mean it. Their office is hidden at the back corner of a courtyard - by the time I found it at 6:05 the lights were out, the door was locked, and nobody answered the phone. Maybe don't offer a 6 p.m. pickup time if you plan to flee the office at 5:59?Reviewed 14 May 2018

Pros:Needed a car for the weekend and Thrifty was the most affordable. Place was easy to find (same parking lot as Holiday Inn). Picking up the car was quick (no lines) and painless (representative was friendly and didn't push additional services/insurance).Reviewed 26 Oct 2017

Inexpensive and easy!Pros:I first looked at what it would cost for an Uber for my designation and back. It was going to be about $80 each way ($160). I was able to book this rental for $30 for a full day. Thrifty was able to quickly pull my reservation up and get me out the door in about 15 minutes. When I returned the car there were no additional surprise fees and checkin was just as great!Reviewed 20 Feb 2017
