I reserved a car and when we arrived was told they had no cars. That was it - we rented a car, Dollar confirmed our reservation, and then simply said there was nothing they could do about it. Very difficult circumstances after a long day of cross country travel. We will never rent from Dollar again.

The whole experience was horrible. I went to the rental counter after arriving, waited 30 mins in a queue of only a few people, only to be told my card couldn’t be accepted (Apple MC), nor could my debit (BoA). I made the reservation with this same card even. I was then told he could get me a good deal with another company offsite (Stop then Go). Same thing occurred to the people in line behind me. We wait for a shuttle to the offsite company and I did get a car. But at this point, I am hour behind schedule, and now no longer in the electric car I’d chosen with Dollar, and in a very basic gas Hyundai. And the Dollar rep said I’d have to contact Dollar myself to cancel the reservation I’d already paid for. So that was another chunk of my time spent dealing with it all, and now I have to wait like 10 days for the investigation into why I asked to cancel, before I get my money back for the car I was never given. An absolute nasty process overall, with no consideration for the customers time whatsoever.

Had a pretty horrendous experience with roadside assistance when my rental got a flat tire, had no spare, and had to be towed. Spent hours on the phone before I could get anyone to tell me where to go to get another rental car. Wasted an entire day of my rental cost. Horrible.

I picked up a car from Budget and they kept screwing up the rate. They told me that they’d fix it after I sign everything. Then I was told that it can’t be fixed since I’ve signed everything. When I returned the car, they also snuck in a $20 charge because it was under 75 miles. We asked for a paper receipt for itemized charge and they said they don’t do that. Then when we went into the office, they said there is a $20 charge because we don’t show our gas receipt, but we were never asked to show it nor were we told. When I asked the agent about it, he said “it’s on the screen, we can’t possibly tell you everything that’s on there”. They rushed me through signing it though. Never rent from Budget. They scam you and they don’t feel bad about it.
We reserved a car but it wasn't ready and had to wait 25 minutes while they looked for a car and had it serviced. What good is making a reservation if it doesn't guarantee a vehicle?

Despite booking and paying for our rental car several weeks in advance, there were no cars available at our designated pick up time. Nor was the employee behind the counter able to issue us a refund or help us find a car at another location. He claimed their system “was not connected that way.” The entire experience was unacceptable.

Would have been an excellent review but a few items in the car did not work USB adapter, some of the features on the screens and most importantly tire pressure was off by 17 lbs under inflated and 10 lbs inflated on other wheels. That is scary and very important to me on safety

I reserved an economy car in advanced and when I went to Hertz to get the car, I was told that they were all out of economy cars. I had to pay additional money to upgrade to the next available grade car since they wouldn't upgrade me for free. Really unhappy about this switch and bait tactic.

What could be better?: Provide a vehicle that is actually equivalent to the one reserved. When a 4WD drive car is reserved, a 4WD should be provided. The car I rented was dirty. Hairs on upholstery and coffee foam on interior door handle. Additionally pressure was low in one tire and they tire didn’t hold pressure after we put in air.
The rental pick up was quick, easy and friendly agent .. the drop off was even quicker and the agent was super nice even at 430 in the morning and very cold ..great experience

Upon dropping off my car rental, I was told there was another $195 charge. I asked the front desk & said I signed for the daily protection of $25. I know I didn’t and refused it at the day of pickup. When I confronted the service desk, they just told me I signed it but wouldn’t give me proof and told me to contact customer service myself. Luckily I checked upon return of car when they guy had me signed the iPad for drop-off. Called the customer service hotline and they said they would send to dispute but no resolution as of yet. So check your drop-off receipt to see if if they tacked on unnecessary fees. You could be getting ripped off

Once the site of the business was established, from that point on, everything went flawlessly. Coming back to the location, it was not apparent as to where the pickup location was. I traveled to two locations before finding a phone number and actually talking with someone to provide the actual pickup area. But again, once that was established, the pickup and drop off were great. Friendly staff and quick transaction.

The agent tried to remove my unlimited mileage then tried to charge me for a late return that was caused by an error message of the car. Otherwise, the car and the process were smooth. Just wish there was more empathy from the men at the desk.

Green Motion’s office was closed at 6 PM when I went to pick up the car. No other customer service was available. I ended up getting another rental from other company. Worst service. Will never recommend.
