Overview of Pegasus Airlines

Controlling operations from a central hub in Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines has a wide-spanning network that reaches Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Four support bases across Turkey (Adana, İzmir, Ankara, and Antalya) aid domestic services, which include over 30 destinations. Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Germany, France, and Belgium are among the countries with multiple locations that directly connect to Turkey.

Marketing itself as a low-cost carrier, it delivers competitively priced fares and streamlined amenities. In 2017 the carrier was crowned the Best Low-Cost Airline at the World Tourism Awards. Air Manas is a partially owned subsidiary that is based in Kyrgyzstan and focuses on the Central Asian region. Codeshare agreements with Alitalia, KLM, and Flynas offer an extended range of connected flights that Pegasus Airlines customers can access.

All passengers are seated in a singular Economy cabin on Pegasus Airlines flights. There are 18 seats available, which have additional legroom and can be reserved upon an upgrade. A standard hand luggage allowance of 8 kg (approximately 17 lb) is permitted, while up to 20 kg (approximately 44 lb) of checked baggage can be purchased.

A combination of Airbus and Boeing jets are operated. Airbus models, such as the A320neo, are preferred for shorter distance routes, such as those to the Middle East, while wide-body Boeing planes like the 737 Next Gen are scheduled for services to Central Europe. The Airbus A321neo is one of the largest aircraft in the fleet and is capable of carrying approximately 239 passengers. All of the jets have traditional Turkish names, which are emblazoned underneath the cockpit windows.
