Hotels near Kota Kinabalu airport

Pros: The room was pleasant. The staffs did room clean several times a day to keep towels enough and room clean, which was very helpful. Every staff we met was very kind and friendly. Especially, the staff at Horizon Club Lounge, Joanne was very sweet. She helped us to get the two rooms we reserved to be arranged near each other. Also, I loved the swimming pool and activities at Star Marina. Sunset is really beutiful.

Cons: Actually not much. Maybe the price? Everything is pretty expensive.

Pros: The facilities - water, pool, beach area was great with lots of activities around. Water safety was prioritized. Kids room was great, so was the gym. Breakfast buffet was great, even at peak hours the staff managed everything well. Location near the airport, ample parking space. Bath tub was a plus. Clean room and facilities all around. A fun and happening resort with lots of activities. Lots of Koreans around, seems to be targeting the foreign tourists from mainly Korea, and some from China and Hong Kong. Recommended for stay with families with young or older kids, a honeymoon, or just to relax. Good view of the sea, and don't forget to watch the sunset at the nearby Tanjung Aru beach.

Cons: Very strict with the check-in guests. High deposits to be paid upfront. Room design seems dated, and considering the price i paid, the room size isn't as big or as luxurious, and also the attention to service was lesser compared to other hotels of the same price range.

Pros: Great for kids. There were a lot of activities to keep them busy. An I cream bar next to a waterslide, what more do you want in life?

Cons: Jellyfish season made the beach unswimable.

Pros: Great facility and staffs

Cons: Lack of signs to show direction, poor food if you eat at the grill bar near the swimming pool.

Cons: The worst five-star hotel I have ever stayed in. You must read these information below. First, a bell man who worked daytime had no will to offer services for customers. When I arrived this hotel from airport, he just stared at me and did nothing for me. So, I had to open the car door and unload my luggage on my own. It is terrible attitude for the forefront hotel staff. Second, most hotel staffs were inhospitable. When I went to the reception to ask something, I have been waited more than 10 minutes. Some staffs caught their eyes on me, however, they disregard me. Third, housekeepers were careless when doing their jobs. After making up room service, I found a cosmetic that I and my partner didn't bring in my room. In addition, I saw a Korean family wasn't able to check in after 4 o'clock due to delayed housekeeping.

Pros: Location is great, convenient to get to places , spacious property with multi hotel and marina , nice walking path and sunset

Cons: Breakfast variety poor, attention to details in rooms for toiletries replenishments, spa was ok level, duluxe with 2 single beds for family is below standard for a luxury hotel... should upgrade to 2 double beds for family comfort, towels ran out twice in the pool area - needs better planning, kids water area can be improved further.

Pros: Location, spacious property, multi hotels and marina, convenient to go to location nearby

Cons: Breakfast Varieties poor, deluxe with 2 single beds instead of 2 queen beds uncomfortable for family, lack of towels at pool twice during the visit, fail to replenishment of toiletries full set and laundry plastics daily- attention to detail, kids water play can be improved further with better facilities.

Pros: I can use pacific facilites. It has many outdoor pool.

Cons: It has too small private beach

Cons: The breakfast was nice but all the warm food is cold because they are not heating the bain Marie. Also they need some management of the sun lounges to stop people leaving towels/clothes on them all day when not using them

Pros: Lots of things to do, tennis, billlards, table tennis, badminton - an awesome Gym. Pools were great, lots of loungers. Bed turned down with chocolates. Club lounge fabulous, evening drinks & food.

Cons: People reserve loungers first thing in the morning then don’t use them till Lunch time.

Pros: Staffs were super friendly and they serve with a smile. Location was amazing. Close to everything.

Cons: Pipe broke then my whole toilet flooded after it was fixed. Food was meh. Nothing extraordinary and refills were so slow. Too many Korean travellers that were noisy and rude. Honestly, was disappointed with the price I paid.

Pros: The room view and swimming pool and food were food. Perfect for a couples

Cons: Didn't think the dinner buffet was good value and it didn't have the 'Fiesta' vibe. We booked a twin room and received an upgrade to a suite but there weren't two beds. Not a locatio n for those who prefer to walk to destinations. Located on a busy highway meaning you need to either shuttle or taxi to everything.

Cons: Very noisy from Chinese customers until 3am!!! Airplanes making a lot of noise all night. Cars outside making lots of noise wheel spinning

Pros: i stayed for a short day due to my flight shedule, surprisingly, the counter staff allowed me to have one hour early check in, actually i was just asking see if i were allowed, but the lady staff really help me to call and check for an available room which finally she arranged for me , i was so pleased..the facilities in the room are like 5 stars hotel.. i like the hairdryer and the bathroom with bidet..the hotel surrounding is fantastic with convenience shops and restaurant walking distance not even 1 minute.

Cons: Stayed here numerous times already (i guess its our 9th time), but this was the first time that a staff rudely chased us out at the parking area since there were too crowded with cars. We understood that there was an event going on nearby, but I think they should do better than that. We intend to ask him properly prior our check in, however without any questions he asked us to keep clear from the parking area. No name mention here, but I hope the management could brief their staff regarding this matter. He might be stress due to work, but so do other people. Otherwise, it was fabulous stay as usual.

Pros: The city view from my room unquestionably superb! Oh and I love the spacious bathroom! I wish they will maintain this hotel how it was supposed to be, the outside hotel balcony is somewhat dirty and rubbish are everywhere.

Cons: The closet, drawer, and the table was covered with dust, seems like it hasn't been clean for a month. The bedsheets is dirty, I guess the cleaner didn't change it.

Pros: Good value. Good firm matress. Good room decor and bathroom. Ok breakfast for the room price (buffet included 3 types of fried noodles and also scambled egg and low quality sausages and white bread toast. Coffee wasnt very hot). Good location, not busy area, near airport and beach. Free carpark. Local food options in the surrounding area.

Cons: Wifi on lowest floor only. Breakfast coffee only warm not hot. Room smelt of stale smoke (but had an ashtray in it so i presume it was a smoking room).

Cons: I get bedbug bites all over my body, within only 10 minutes laying on the bed i pack all my stuff and checkout from the hotel.

Pros: We came really late night and other day were leaving to the airport again. Hotel arranged free transfer for us which was amazing. Havent seen anything much apart our room which was good.

Cons: We had breakfast included but because we were leaving very early before they started we could not have them. Even breakfast packake wasnt provided.

Pros: Easy to get grab transport to go around city. Walking distance to Tg. Aru Beach & food bazaar nice in evening. Free shuttle service provided to KK city area & airport.

Pros: The price and the location were convenient, although it's not in the nicest or most scenic corner of Tanjung Aru. The staff were nice and helpful, and offered an airport shuttle.

Cons: The whole place is in need of updating. No elevator; rooms are stuffy, dingy, and cramped; there is no soundproofing, so you hear every plane arriving and departing KK airport.

Cons: Shabby hotel, comfortable enough for a one night stay but i dont recommend for longer stays and with family. The walls dont even hv wallpaper, furnitures got burn marks, mugs with coffee stains.
