We just wish we could have took a bit more time to sit and enjoy it all but we were a little tight for time! Pros: The first thing that struck me was how beautiful the garden was despite arriving at night. We were greeted pleasantly by Natalie and shown to our room which had water themed pictures on the walls and a nessie on the bed which really gave a feel of being in a lakeside location. There were homemade cupcakes to die for waiting for us in the room which I felt was a very personal and unique touch. It was a short walk into town just right to build an appetite. We were even offered a scrabble set to use which is often a favorite of ours when travelling. The breakfast room had a wonderful view overlooking the garden which appeared to be a real magnet for birds. There was a great variety of breakfast options and everything served was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend!

Pros: My parents stayed for 2 nights for their birthday and anniversary, they loved every moment. They were treated so well and they loved the meal in the restaurant, the food was first class and they have been telling everyone about it since. They have also said they will return regularly now instead of their trips elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm, clean and very comfortable
Cons: N/a
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was clean and modern. The staff were great and the restaurant has a great atmosphere but pricey! The drawing room in the hotel was super cosy and made our stay really memorable, a night cap infront of the fire was such a dream. We would definitely stay here again but I dont think we would go for the garden room.
Cons: The garden rooms arent as the name suggests. They're in the parking lot and there is no greenery to be seen, but the room itself is clean, modern and spacious. The parking lot lights are also not great if you're sleeping with the window open which we had to do as it got unbelievably hot in our room. There needs to be complimentary Still water, not sure why there is only Sparkling. There was also complimentary tea cakes which we didn't see in our room for both the nights. Lacking personal touch but I think the hotel rooms are probably different.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable with good food and lovely, cosy lounges
Cons: Pricey food and drinks and staff were unfriendly and not particularly helpful. Check in was frosty and check out took inordinately long
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We really liked it, It has very comfortable garden rooms. Breakfast very nice and plenty of choice. It has Netflix!

Pros: Hostel is like a oasis for travelers, peacful and quiet, just at the shore of Loch Ness. Atmosphere is warm and people are friendly. Plus huge kitchen where you don't need to squeeze or wait for your turn. We really enjoyed our stay there, thanks.

Cons: Fine, although the bedsheets could definitely have been cleaner!

Pros: Absolutely fabulous location and the staff went above and beyond to help 5*... Highly recommended
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome stay, nice staff, room with a view, and there is everything you need. :)
7.9 Good
Pros: I have stayed in many hostels and this one of the best. Very clean minus the dead bugs in the room. Kitchen was well equipped. It was quiet when we were there but i can imagine it has a good atmosphere in the common room when it is busy. The bathrooms were clean with a good shower too.
Cons: There were dead bugs around the room that could have been vacuumed away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is beautiful with a private "beach" by the lake. The staff there are fantastic , super friendly and helpful. The common areas in the hostel are great and the environment was very chilled and comfortable. We can't wait to return one day with more time because there is plenty to explore.
Cons: Being very "picky" inly because you don't have signal on yout phone the wifi is not great in the rooms but is not necessary in such a location!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent food, superb surroundings.
Cons: Whilst the hotel is cosy, some of the rooms are a bit sparsely furnished, missing tables and desks, and there are waaaaaay too many photographs of lochs everywhere and the ambience of the restaurant could be worked on a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location of this hotel was great. The front of the hotel overlooked the gardens and the loch.
Cons: This is clearly a hotel that has seen better days. The hall, the bar and the small reception looked shabby and gave a bad first impression. The large lounge is badly lit and not particularly welcoming - only if you manage to get a (in demand) fireside seat would it be comfortable. The small lobby next to our bedroom door was so badly lit that we could not see to get the key in the door. The room (and yes I know it was the cheapest option - we were only staying one night) was ok - bathroom small, so the basin was in the bedroom itself. v strange. The restaurant looked to be the only area which has had some recent refitting - again the rather cheap looking framed photos on the wall did not enhance. Dinner was ok, but not the best. Breakfast - again, ok but poached eggs rather rubbery. We were surprised on the whole, as this was meant to be a hotel good for its cuisine. Maybe the chef was away? I really would not recommend this hotel for anything more than one night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location , looks like a heritage hotel with nice room and comfortable stay
Cons: Dinner menu was not great and location is a little far from city so no restaurant options
8.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect to walk into Fort Augustus town. The rooms were very big and so comfortable
Cons: The power shower in the bathroom was very poor and the dinner menu was not geared towards kids of which we had two so they didn’t eat
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff and excellent food. Also lovely view over Loch Ness
Cons: The decor is in need of freshening up. Our room had a Venetian blind instead of curtain and it didn't close fully. Bar a bit austere.

Pros: Amazing food!

Pros: Wonderful Staff. Rooms were beautiful and large. Dinner was fantastic.

7.5 Good
Pros: The private bathroom was very nice we were with 5 girls so that was lovely.
Cons: The breakfast was not that special it was a bit too simple
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, disgusted by our experience
Cons: Reception closed when we arrived. We got there late because our flight was diverted from Inverness to Edinburgh. Tried to call Morag's lodge to let them know but no one ever answered the phone so left message telling them we were going to be late and asking for a call back. That never happened. So after rushing and driving as fast as we could from Edinburgh we got there at 22.00 to find the lodge closed even though check in is advertised to be until 23.00. Explanation from Morag's lodge: reception is closed on quiet evenings... Note our booking was done a month in advance through booking.com and we tried calling between 19.00 - 20.00 call from reception were already directed at that point. Also the full amount was taken from my card and they do not wish to refund as a card and a key was supposedly left at the front door. We took a picture of the said front door when we arrived and we can clearly see that nothing was left for us on it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so kind - their welcoming attitude changed my experience in Fort Augustus, for the better. Comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen? Excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place along the Great Glen Way to have a pint and a little piece od quiet at the same time :) highly recommended :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We could recommend Morag’s Place. There were 4 of us travelling together and we were very pleased with our night here Simple , comfortable warm rooms, very good en suite bathrooms and a hearty breakfast. We would be very happy to stay there again - hopefully for longer next time.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: A nice place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Excellent kitchen facilities and the staff were amazingly friendly. Highly recommended
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location close to Fort Augustus town centre. Quiet. Enough parking spaces. Friendly staff. Reading lamp and sockets at the bed, good Wifi.
Cons: No storage in the room, no cupboard or lockers to store things safely. No hooks at the wall for jackets, we had all our clothes on the floor because there was no place where we could put them. Hard and simple matrice, I had shoulder pain in the morning. Kitchen super small and not sufficient as self catering kitchen, there is no space to prepare even a simple meal.

Pros: Superb scenery and warm welcome from all the staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were super comfy. Food was so tasty but the very best part of our stay were the staff. So polite, friendly and cheerful.
Cons: The window in our room let in drafts and noise. I think there was actually something wrong with the fitting of the window and we did mean to mention it to reception when we left but we forgot. Sorry.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff very nice, thank you
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast, the service, the room and the staff amazing! Too bad we only stayed one night and really bummed we didn’t eat the Indian food- the menu looked fantastic
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The snug area was nice and old fire
Cons: No music, needs some to give it some Scottish atmosphere and highland hospitality.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Over priced and bath water was discoloured
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel has had significant refurbishment since our last stay. Our room was spacious and of a very good standard, the food was great and the bar was pleasant. The location is outstanding, perfect for getting into the mountains or a day trip to Skye. It is great to see significant investment in the Inn and we hope it is a success.
Cons: Specific feedback on some teething problems with service at breakfast and in the bar was given to the hotel at the end of our stay. Water temperature in our bathroom was at times much too hot!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, warm room and great location. The food I eat at the bar was very good.
Cons: My room hadn’t been checked properly as there was a half empty bottle of water and the toilet bin hadn’t been emptied. The cooked breakfast was not good, sausage was cold, bacon was streaky and mostly fat and the beans were swimming in sauce.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for a secluded hideaway this is the place to be. In between the highland mountains with a very cosy and welcome feel to it. Lots of lovely Scottish touches in the interior and a great seating area were kids can play a game.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

Pros: The price is about the best in town, but if you are looking for a hotel style b&b, this is not it. This feels more like staying with relatives. The owner is a very nice older woman, and she makes a good breakfast for you.
Cons: The ensuite bathroom wasn't really ensuite, we had our own bathroom, but you had to go into the hall to use it, so you would need to get dressed to use it at night, etc.

Pros: My parents stayed for 2 nights for their birthday and anniversary, they loved every moment. They were treated so well and they loved the meal in the restaurant, the food was first class and they have been telling everyone about it since. They have also said they will return regularly now instead of their trips elsewhere.

Pros: Warm, clean and very comfortable

7.5 Good
Pros: Room was clean and modern.
