Cons: Everything
7.0 Good
Pros: Freshly cooked breakfast was a real treat
Cons: Property has the features of all old buildings with noisy floors and doors, creaks and groans, but in keeping with the age of the building.
6.0 Good
Pros: Characterful old manor house in a lovely unspoilt location. Nice large room with tea/coffee facilities. Decent sized bath with shower. Easy going staff and guests. I didn't try breakfast, however - the Sunday Carvery was fine.
Cons: The carpet never looked vacuumed. Infact there was a finger nail clipping on the carpet from another guest occupying the room before I checked in. Toilet seat base was dirty and the top of the rubbish bin was dusty.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bar with the real fire was cosy on a horrible stormy night
Cons: Our room was described as a four poster bed suite when in fact it was a very tired looking room with very draughty windows
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great staff helpful but room not decorated fully/very well and old dried food on dining room floor. Hotel needs quite a bit of refurbishment and repair which we appreciate is not easy but nonetheless
Cons: Condition of room (No2) and cleanliness of dining area. The hotel appeared to be becoming run down and in need of quite a lot of work.
6.0 Good
Pros: The rooms where a good size, beds comfy and the food was lovely! Overall we had a lovely night away, not so “romantic hotel” ideal for just a night when you’re out all day.
Cons: The bathroom looked dirty and unkept, there was cobwebs on the lamps and the hotel it’s self seemed quite dated.
7.1 Good
Pros: Value for money
Cons: Property stop serving food at 8 o’clock
