Pros: 1. I liked that they drove us to the airport at the end of trip. It was a very nice gesture.
2. Good car (Nissan Micra)
Cons: 1. The location is not exactly in the city where tourists visit and it's about 10 km from the airport. It was a bit inconvenient to pick up the car.
2. The rental office told us to bring the car back with the gas tank EMPTY. It is pretty stressful to attempt to bring the car back with tank empty. The norm, in my experience, is to receive the car with tank full and return the car with the tank full.

Big car little price
Pros: I liked how quickly they responded to all my questions and concerns. They offered us a free upgrade. No hassle rental unlike some other companies.
Cons: The car was not that clean. We found several alcohol wipes under the drivers seat. The clearly did not work and the air conditioning leaked in the car. We advised them upon returning the car and they offered a discount on the original price for the rental.

Pros: Above all, the rental personnel who was very efficient and courteous.
Cons: The location is a little bit away from any public transportation.
The office itself needs a thorough shape up.

Pros: I was served really fast, there was no issues, and i had a car upgrade and a drop-off.
Pros: Fast efficient customer service at both ends of the trip.
Cons: Back seat was loose but they warned us but wasn't an issue for us as we only had 2 passengers.

Pros: Car was in great shape.
Cons: Check-in was understaffed. It was a Canadian edition car, so the manual was only in (poor-quality) French - this would have been fine if the car were intuitive, but some critical things (headlights) were oddly set up.

There were no cars to pick up per our reservations
Pros: The people were helpless in the face of 12 groups all waiting for a reserved car but they were professional about it.
Cons: The fact that every group was left stranded for an hour and a half because Hertz had not delivered any cars to the site. It put everyone of us late for our plans.

Cons: we received the car on a sunday very dirty and we had to buy our own cleaning material to be able to clean and use the car,which took us almost an hour.
The car smelled strong like Indian Herbs which was almost
imposible to remove.
Unfortunatly all the cars at this branch were really dirty,seems like the manager did not care about the cleaniness.They promised to reimburse me for the cleaning material we bought but till now it has not happened.
I would not suggests this location on Carier blv in Montreal.
Pros: Counter staff were excellent and worked out a discount for returning a car to USA.

Pros: It was quite fast di pickup the car, hower the personnel was not that kind.
Cons: The personnel did not transmit much trust in explaining the insurance details, our responsabilities and the Montreal rental area does not have much space to stop and put baggages in the car.
The car was not entirely full of fuel.

Pros: The rental agent took the time to write me step-by-step instructions on a paper map, so that i could efficiently navigate back to the states sans cell phone services.
Cons: The garage area in Montreal is very congested - no space or time for dilly-dallying. Though the staff handled everything quite well.

Didn't get the right car.
Pros: The car was very clean and the airport drop off was fast and easy.
Cons: There was confusion at the pick up point as to where a car was. When it came it was smaller than we'd booked. I think the reason was that it was plated in the province we were dropping the car off in.

Dropped the ball!
Cons: Car was not cleaned properly, found melted chocolate peanuts in my cup holders and crass throughout. Wipers were terrible and couldn't see out my windshield driving 3+ hours in the rain. Massive scratch on passenger doors that was not noted in the inspection that was done without my presence!
Pros: This car rental place is off airport. The shuttle was 30 minutes wait so I took a cab. $17. Office was dirty, staff was sullen, and my "premium" car was a Honda accord, a little different than the Mercedes pictured. Gas tank was at 3/4. Lousy experience overall.

Pros: They use Honda Civic sedans for their rentals.
Cons: It took 30 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up from the terminal upon arrival. Then another 20 minutes to get the car once at the rental office. They only had one guy serving the desk and he was also the guy that would run to get the cars out of the yard where they were parked. He was not courteous or friendly at all. The car was dirty and had scratches all over it.
The office was filthy, our car's low washer fluid light came on after 1 use, the tires were all 10lbs under pressure so we had to fill them at a gas station which cost us $3. Not a large sum of money but why should I have to pay for air?
If a rental company does nothing else they should at least check the oil, check the tires, check the gas, and wash the car after every use. It was obvious the was never done.
The price online said $151 but when we returned the car it cost us $265. I asked why the difference and he just grumbled because that's the cost. I will not be using Kayak or Economy Car Rentals in the future.

Pros: There was nothing good about this rental car experience.
Cons: The shuttle bus didn't show. The number given to call the shuttle bus was a disconnected number. The man at the desk was extremely rude and unpleasant. The drop off location was at a different location than the pickup location and the directions/address given to get there was wrong. Horrible rental experience-do not rent from this company if you visit Montreal!

Pros: Absolutely nothing to like.
Cons: This was disgraceful. I have rented cars and traveled my entire life, and have never wanted to write a negative review about anything before. But this company just begged for it. I reserved a car online in advance and read the fine print. Nowhere did it mention anything about car insurance and like any other company, one would figure that they'd ask if I'd like to take their insurance or not. Instead, as I'm standing in front of them after flying in from NY, they ask me for proof of car insurance to show that I had full collision coverage. Since I, like everyone else I know, keep my insurance in my car or at home, the gentleman tried to force me to take their insurance for $500...and pointed to a sign in the dingy office stating that...yet it was never posted anywhere else in advance. When I declined to rent from him, he told me he was charging me for the first day even though my reservation stated that I wouldn't be charged until I accepted the car. I wound up renting at the airport for the same price with a major company...and it took me 5 minutes to do so. Needless to say, I have spoken with my credit card company who will be fighting this charge for me. I would advise anyone to use a familiar company at the airport even if it is slightly more. You get what you pay for.

Cons: Had my pickup at 8 am- called several times for my pickup between 7:45 - 8:20 am - no answer! Had to call corporate to get a hold of them. Waited for over 25 min for a pickup which never came. The gentleman from Discount next door politely offered me a ride (apparently this happens a lot with Economy) when arrived at the discount store, I had to walk over to the actual Economy store with my luggage. My car smelled funny and was dirty! When asked why the car was dirty - was told it's because it's the morning and they didn't have time to clean. Nonetheless, when I dropped off my car- I showed up 2.5 hours prior to my flight- the store was about to close (which is ridiculous !!) another couple had just picked up their car and we're coming back in to change company- their car was disgusting too... They walked over to discount! spend the extra couple of dollars- not worth the frustration...

Cons: Arrived to the airport of my destination, called the number provided for pickup, no one pickups the phone for 30 min, took the taxi and rented elsewhere the next day. I have called the number earlier that day to confirm that someone will pick me up at the time of my arrival (6:40pm).
Pros: Nothing, the car could not be rented because the company location no longer existed.
Cons: That it the office no longer existed and almost lost my whole trip because of renting through kayak, it ended up costing me 4 times as much

Cons: 1-It was not inside the airport, I had to take a van with my bags and my family to achieve the car.
2-tha car they rent me was a chrisler 200. I believe it is not similar to toyota camry that was in internet
3-I contract the insurance from Alliance, with was suggested on line, but at the store they told me it was not sufficient and I had to contract another one that cost me 12 dollars a day.
Next time I will prefer a traditional company with a store inside the airport.
Pros: We rented a Chrysler town and country minivan and the car was clean and comfortable inside. Had navigation and plenty of seating and storage for 6 passengers and baggage.
Cons: We were told the car was being washed and prepared for us as we filled out rental paperwork for 30 minutes! Then when we walked down to the 5 level below ground to pick up the car we had to wait another 20 minutes as they cleaned out another car being returned and then cleaned our van. After driving the van out of the garage and picking up our passengers, the driver side sliding door didn't work. There was a problem with the locking mechanism - so once we got it locked we didn't use it the rest of our trip. Then there was this high pitched hissing sound coming from something near the dash on the drivers side of the car! We couldn't determine the cause and it continued all 4 days we had the car. We called the rental company once we reached our destination and they had no suggestion or offered no rebate for these issues. At least they didn't charge us for them!
Cons: We were quoted one price, when I went to pick up the vehicle it was FIVE times more expensive. I dropped the key off I thought I was paying the inflated price I had been quoted when I picked it up, $305 instead of just over $60. Later that day I received the final bill it was more than $500. It ruined a great trip. NEVER would I recommend Dollar Rental or Kayak!!!!!!!!!!!
