I reserved a car. They did not reserve me a car. The only vehicles they had were pick up trucks. My experience was awful. The attendant at the rental counter had a rude, “Take it or leave it” attitude and did not care that I am 74, 5’3” tall and weigh 105 pounds and had reserved a car. He said it was too bad. I was not given a receipt on pick up so I had no paperwork. Additionally, I paid my “TOTAL RENTAL AMOUNT” at the time of reservation and they increased the amount by $112.56 at the time I turned my truck in. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES RENT a VEHICLE FROM BUDGET! I WILL NEVER DO SO AGAIN.Reviewed 30 Apr 2026

I reserved an economy car. When I got there for my scheduled pick up time and my options were a mini van or electric vehicle, or I can pay an extra $150 for a mustang or suv. I’m driving to pigeon forge, Gatlinburg and Ocoee campgrounds. How am I gunna figure out how long a charge last and try plugging it into a tree. I’ve never used one before and not about to get stranded in the middle of nowhere. Suggestion have a map of charging stations and a how to video if you’re going to give that option as well as a discount bc it’s a whole thing. I was not about pay extra due to your failure to secure the car I reserved. I took the big old minivan- great on gas and mileage (sarcasm) as my options were limited at that time of night and I just wanted to drive and get to my hotel to sleep.Reviewed 23 Apr 2026

The staff was friendly and welcoming however I rented what it was described as a mid-size SUV and they gave me a compact/small size SUV. They told me that they go by a letter but the website did not state any of that instead it showed Mid-Size. It was disappointing.Reviewed 7 Dec 2025

Quote I got online was not what I paid, even opting for the additional insurance. There were hidden fees that were not obvious to me. Paid much more than expected. The front seat was stained when we picked it up. Chocolate? I hope that was all it was.Reviewed 20 Nov 2025

Pick up went fine at Alice — drop off at Bentonville airport went very bad. They didn’t check my vehicle in on time even though staff called me and confirmed they had the keys, and they charged me extra days because of it. Still trying to get it figured out days later.Reviewed 25 Jun 2025

There is a fundamental problem in the car rental industry that makes it impossible for a customer to specify a feature that the vehicle must have to fit their need. If one were to take a road trip with a rental veh, adaptive cruise control is a game changer, not just for convenience, but to minimize the pain of locking my previously injured ankle in one position for hours at a time. Budget's rep tried but failed to find a veh that fit my needs, even though just weeks earlier I had rented two different vehicles from them that did have the feature, so I know they are in the fleet.Reviewed 14 Mar 2024
