A couple of things were negatives. 1) They apparently have a restriction on which states you can travel to in the rental car- although this didn’t affect my plans this time, I could see how it might be a negative if I had plans to travel to one of the restricted states. 2) Despite arriving at the car rental spot around 9:00 pm on a weekday and there not being a line at the counter- the company rep advised me that there would be up to a 45 minute wait to get my car ready- when I asked if there was anything we could do to avoid the wait- she advised that we could upgrade and get a car immediately. This suspiciously appeared to be a bait and switch tactic. Especially since it was not busy and I had a reservation which put them on notice of the rental. I WILL NO LONGER BE RENTING FROM ACE.Reviewed 20 Jun 2024

Pickup was a very long process - it took us almost 2 hours to get a car. We were promised a $35 credit and were upgraded to a hybrid SUV. Returned on time but billed extra even after discount. Not a great experience although the car itself was clean and comfortable.Reviewed 17 Jun 2024

I liked after I got past the counter to rent the car. Going out to the garage and getting the car and returning it is great. The suv was new and clean. What I didn’t like was the person at the counter couldn’t put an email in the system correctly. I gave them multiple emails and they could not enter until I came around the counter and learned they kep adding 2 @ to an email. Also the fact that they would not let me rent the car unless a proper email went thru I don’t agree with especially I provided all of that information at the time of renting the car thru Kayak. Don’t understand how the email address doesn’t just systemically transfer. It was not the first time renting from Ace. Finally, the person at the one counter couldn’t print my paper work and I had to wait while the other counter person finished with someone else before they would print it. Not a good experience. There was an issue with the usual check in due to tech problems, Your customer service team still worked diligently to check us in the old way and we were held up only 35 minutes instead of an estimated hour. The staff was friendly with both check in and return.Reviewed 21 May 2024

The car was great, only complaint I have is with check in. The woman was not very helpful. I didn’t not get her name but she talked so fast that I could not even begin to understand or hear her. Seemed annoyed when I asked questions, just rushing through the whole thing. I am not one to leave bad reviews but it was pretty rude. I felt like I was a bother to her, it was a chaotic and confusing encounter. Other than that the car was very clean and nice. Easy and fast drop off.Reviewed 16 Oct 2023
