Going to Xiamen they did not offer any wine and basically offered two food choices in tin trays. Something you would expect on a domestic flight in China not a $10k business class flight. The flight attendant admitted they also stopped paying for satellite Wi-Fi; which they used to offer and now don't - without apology. Normally I am a huge fan of a non-stop but the difference between Japanese or US carriers is a large one and well worth a stop in Korea or Japan rather than pay double for no amenities at all. The plane is nice, but the experience was below par.
Perfect
Once on board, everything is perfect. The young and pretty flight attendants warmly welcome each passenger and demonstrate excellent service attitudes. As passengers board one after another, the flight attendants begin to inquire about our meal preferences. I requested to see a wine list and choose a suitable red wine. She replied that there were no menus or wine lists, but she would take a photo of the red wine options on her phone and show me later. After lunch, the flight attendants began to ask about dinner arrangements. It turns out that there were only three options for dinner: seafood, chicken, and beef, exactly the same as lunch.
Cons: Shouldn’t have babies or small kids in the business class
Cons: Flight delay.
Pros: I love the vegan food that they provide me.
Pros: Everything
Pros: There was a good amount of leg room for an economy seat
Cons: I wish there was a bigger movie selection
Pros: There was a good amount of leg room for an economy seat
Cons: I wish it had more movie options
Pros: The crew are amazing
Pros: Crew was very good and professional, yes the seats were comfortable
Cons: I think the Xiamen knows how to run an airline.
Cons: They wouldn’t let us in the plane due to passport expiring within 6 months of travel. That should have been something you should have put out there during the booking process. We’re now not going on vacation and are having a hard time getting anything back from a trip we couldn’t take
Pros: Crew was nice
Cons: It was extremely loud the entire trip and after traveling for more than 24 hours beforehand, it was an extremely uncomfortable trip.
Pros: The crew was nice
Cons: My tv monitor didn’t work and my wife’s chair wouldn’t stay reclined
Cons: Chinese airlines often require you to take a bus at boarding and then carry your suitcases up large flights of steps to enter the plane - this was the case in Xiamen. This flight often is delayed and this was the case. The food was below average. WiFi is free but it blocks google and gmail.
Pros: In time
Cons: Don’t let customer wait long time for gate after landing
Cons: Hope to keep departure on time !!!!!!
Cons: The crew should speak better English. They polite and helpful but clear English is a plus value
Pros: The crew attention to the customer is top notch. I traveled with China Southern, Delta and Virgin Atlantic but by far Xiamen Air out performed them all.
Cons: The occasion freezing of the entertainment system must be addressed. I did inform the crew and they did try their best to resolve the issue without success.
Pros: Comfy seat
Cons: Less salt in the food
Pros: The crew was great, and seat was comfy compare to other European airlines seats
Cons: Less salt in the food would’ve been better
Pros: great price and overall service
Pros: attentive and polite flight attendants
Pros: The Xiamen reps at the SGN airport was insensitive and arrogant. We were not able to board because of a misunderstanding on the China visa-free program. I still fully believe they are wrong. I had to book 2 new one way tickets with China Southern and wait all day at the airport.
Cons: Helpful, courteous, and well-informed Xiamen representatives.
Pros: I like the web that show me my travel schedules, I don’t need to look for email. But when I check in airport, they ask me flight confirmation number which I don’t know either that number doesn’t indicate. So I hope that you also include flight confirmation number too.
Cons: Delayed / diverted - no communications whatsoever
Pros: crew is ok though not much speaking english
Cons: no other comment
Pros: Crew was very nice and I was happy to get emergency exit row window seat to make the the long flight more comfortable.
Cons: The food could have definitely been better too many shrimp and fish options even in the morning for breakfast. I was happy there has been a pasta served for dinner otherwise I wouldn’t have eaten the entire flight! Shrimp for breakfast isn’t an option for American folk and the movie selection
Pros: Great airplane (787 Dreamliner), comfortable seats, lots of meals, free beer and wine. Great ticket price!
Cons: The cabin crew did not really understand english. When I asked something, it was clear that they didn't understand. I had to claim my checked bag and recheck it at every flight segment. No ability to select seats unless it was more than 72 hours before departure.
Pros: Great airplane (787 Dreamliner), comfortable seats, lots of meals, no charge for beer & wine
Cons: IMO, the flight attendants should understand better english. It was clear they didn't understand much. I had to claim checked bags and recheck every flight segment. No abilty to reserve seats unless it was more than 72 hours before departing!
