nothing, i had the trip set to be at the airport hertz for obvious reasons and somehow it got changed to the Stevens creek one for whatever reason; ok its 20 min away and i will have to pay 40$ in Lyft rates to get there and back which adds to cost and is an inconvenience but fine it was a decentCons:
rate, until i got there and get hit in the face with a 260 additional cost?! excuse me i only went with Hertz because of the 220 rental "total" cost and then you fee me for being 21? an additional 110% outrageous and a rip off. i was taken advantage and on top of that given a garbage ecosport instea2.0 Poor

Your website made it seem as if I was booking a car at the airport. However, when I arrived, I was told the car was 20 minutes away. With no way to get there, I had to pay 3 times the amount to rent a last minute vehicle, plus I was hanged for the original booking. Terrible.4.4 Mediocre

Cons:
I made a special trip to the office ahead of my trip to verify that they could supply me with a small car. I was assured multiple times that they could & even saw a car in the parking lot to indicate the size required. On the day of my trip, I was presented with a mid size sedan and I was almost in tears. I refused the car, made a new reservation, got a ride to Hertz at the airport, and left with a Ford Focus, over 2 hours late for my trip.8.0 Very Good

Our car wasn't ready so they offered a free upgrade, fast service, no hard sale on extras. The only (2) problems we had was the guy helping us wasn't very knowledgeable about credit card issues and what he told us about how much gas we had wasn't what we had. When we returned the car it was the same amount as when we left but the guy said we were short on gas and charged us extra. Not to happy about that!!! Double play!!!10.0 Wonderful

Staff was inept and inexperienced to handle a simple situation. We liked the car model.Cons:
The car was not cleaned at all. Surprising they rented out without cleaning and sanitizing in COVID times. After bringing this issue to the agent, he said he could not help it. I was mad but had no option but to take it. Myself and two of my family members cleaned the car inside out for two hours before starting the trip. Horrible experience. Won’t rent from Avis again.6.4 Okay

Due to a delay in our luggage arriving, we couldn't pick up the reservation as scheduled. The next day we found out the car we booked was no longer available, but fortunately the local team was able to locate it at another location, and drove us there to get it.2.0 Poor

The associate was rude and acted like it was my fault that I was being charges one way fee. Despite of the fact that I made a call before I went to return the car and that I was provided a case number, he refused to acknowledge it. He LITERELLY threw the car key and the papers with all the information at me saying that he will not close up the contract until I pay the amount I was required. I was promised a refund in 2 days. That was on 12th of May, no refund, blocked international bank account, daily overdraft fees and terrible customer service since then. Rented the car with Avis now, and never again. If I don't see my refund soon, lawsuit is the last option.10.0 Wonderful

I went to pick up my car and the location was closed. I spent $40 on Uber ans had to scramble to find another rental. Spent three days prior calling customer service to confirm but no one would answer. Hours of location should be detailed in the confirmation email.2.0 Poor

When I rented the car, my confirmation said that pick up was at the airport location in San Jose. When I arrived at that location the employee said it was not that location and if I wanted to rent from them it would be an additional 30% in taxes because it was at the airport. At this point I was not about to travel all over San Jose to try to locate the car because I assumed that my confirmation would have correct information. I was traveling there to move my daughter out of her college dorm room. She has finals this week so there was little time to see her to pack up her belongings so I had no choice but to pay the additional funds. Also, on the site, there was an option for rental insurance. Normally I don't buy this but because I was with someone outside my family I thought it may not be a bad idea if both of us were going to drive the vehicle. When I got to the Budget desk he had no record of that and said it was an outside vendor that I purchased insurance from. Your site is very deceiving. I will not use Kayak or Budget again after this.10.0 Wonderful
