Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location, beautiful lodge, clean.
Cons: I would have preferred more vegetarian buffet & menu choices.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We stayed for 3 nights in one of the Executive suites on the first floor. We were moved room due to the hot tub not working properly {was stuck on all the time} soon after arrival. Large room with comfy bed and separate lounge area. Food was good out on the terrace and we also took the dinner cruise on Lady Livingstone which was relaxing. Hotel is built in a traditional wooden lodge style but with modern facilities. Excellent location on the banks of the Zambezi. We booked a few activities in advance through the hotel and appreciate Jen going the extra mile to sort them out for us to do as much in the time we had. Took a helicopter flight {expensive but worth it}, raft float and elephant encounter and guided walk at the falls on the Zambia side. We purchased the dual visa on arrival at Livingstone airport which allowed us to walk over to the Zimbabwe side of the falls, which had lots more water.
Cons: Very little! Rooms could maybe have been cleaner and servicing the hot tubs more might be an idea as even the second room we stayed in had a bit of a smell coming from the water.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good breafast
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Comfortable hotel in a very good location. Good breakfast. Helpful activity center (lion walk was amazing!).
Cons: Rooms may be cleaner and would benefit from renovation.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Only a 2 night stay but it was wonderful
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We had a lovely stay here. The place is welcoming from the minute you walk through the entrance and are greeted by the fabulous staff and beautiful view across the garden to the Zambezi river. Excellent food in both the downstairs cafe/bar and the more formal upstairs restaurant. Beautiful pool right beside the river. Tour office on site made it easy to book activities. Free shuttle to town and to the falls was very convenient. Spa treatments fantastic.
Cons: Load shedding power issues in Zambia meant the air conditioning unit in the room often went off. But this didn't detract from the overall stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful place on the Zambezi river.
Good 7.0
Pros: already answred above
Cons: Electric power shortage
Excellent 9.0
Pros: nice rooms and good food. trips / activities were well organized
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and all the staff were very friendly. The rooms were spotless and serviced twice a day. The restaurants were excellent and food and drinks a very reasonable price. The outlook onto the Zambezi was stunning. I highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location, vibe, people
Cons: The activities are very expensive.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly, amazing staff. Beautiful views. Will most definently be coming back. Absolutely loved it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Bed was large and comfy but not so much room to get around it. Tea and coffee making facility in room. Paid for waterhole view. Free shuttle to town and falls goes hourly
Cons: Balcony not so private as overlooked by room above and adjacent. Never quite sure who and when to tip. This hotel is out of town so shuttle is great
Good 7.9
Pros: The whole climate and views as well as its architecture
Cons: They did not change the linen the day after we checked in.
Good 7.0
Pros: Beautiful location
Cons: Paid excursions expensive and not well run. There is a bus service to town but does not always stop for guests.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Amazing staff, facilities and environment!
Cons: A bit far from the city center, there was a free transfer but only one per hour.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Where do I start with what I liked: *I learned that their HR department will bring any donated items to people who need them. So if you desire, you can bring clothes, school supplies, or anything else (just not most food items). *The staff were fantastic! Polite, helpful, on top of everything! I was greeted with a smile and welcomed instantly and they even asked to make a copy of my activity itinerary so that they could confirm all of the dates/times with the company for me. They also seemed to plan the room cleaning and turn down service according to my activity schedule. *On the last day there I needed to contact my credit card company and the number wouldn't work on my cell. After trying their office phone and realizing it wouldn't work either, they offered to find me a staff member with a cell phone. I want to emphasize that it is extremely uncommon to have an unlimited cell phone plan, which means, they were going to offer to use their personal paid minutes to help me make the call. I declined of course because no one should pay for my phone call! But the fact that this was the lengths they were willing to go to instantly, without a thought, was heart warming! *There is a complimentary mini bar (including sodas, alcohol, etc.). Um...yes! *The room was spectacular. *The view was beautiful. *The bar/restaurant overlooks a watering hole. My first night there a herd of elephants and about 100 water buffalo came to drink. Oh yeah, and you can see the hole from the pool. *The pool is so cool (as in awesome, not freezing). *They do a free vulture feeding at 1:00pm every day (this involves hundreds of vultures. It was amazing!) *Breakfast was included with my stay and included a full cold spread (meats, cheeses, fruits, bloody mary, etc.) as well as a menu (albeit small) for hot items (including omelets and french toast). I wound up never even getting the hot items because the cold spread was so filling. *Where do I start? Let me just stay Augustine is AMAZING! He is the hospitality manager there and absolutely change the entire trajectory of my stay and helped coordinate a huge activity that I otherwise would not have been able to be a part of. He is fantastic! *It is farther away from the falls, which I thought might be a bad thing, but they offer hourly free shuttle to the falls, the open market, and 2 other stops, so I never felt distant from anything. Plus, I realized that I only got 2 mosquito bites over 6 days, while others I spoke to who stayed closer to the falls/river complained of a lot more bites. So maybe being away from the falls was actually a plus. Also, because they have so many things there (vulture feeding, beautiful restaurant view, The Boma, and the water hole) you can actually do more AT the hotel than you can at most other places. *The Boma is a fun place and is right there at the hotel. Short walking distance, yet they still have an additional shuttle that will take you straight there.
Cons: What didn't I like? Um, leaving? Really, it was such a wonderful place!

Pros: Wonderful service. Run by a Zambian couple (not foreign investors!). They were very kind as were all the staff members. Although traveling alone, my room had a queen and a twin bed. Very comfortable mattresses. There is AC, a TV (I never used it), warm shower, full bathroom, mini-fridge. The common area has a pool and a dining area the backs up to the home of the owners as well as WiFi. Breakfast and other light meals were provided. One of the owners provided transportation. It was fun to meet a few others who were staying there. I would highly recommend this place. 500%
Cons: I liked everything. However, you should know that it is a 15 minute walk to the main part of Livingstone. The owner offered to drive me there gladly. The walk is very safe and I enjoyed it.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and to arrange tours and transport. The hospitality was outstanding!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Gloria and her family are very hospitable!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: If you are not looking for that fancy, more expensive hotel, then this is for you. It's clean, has a pool, within walking distance to the center and nice rooms. What makes this place special to others is the staff really. Gloria and her crew, for example Moses, are happy to help you out with anything you need (e.g. food delivery from Zambezi Cafe, recommended). Gloria and her family (with lovely kids) live on the premise too and you are always welcome to step into her house and sit down for a chat. This is what makes this place different to others and gives it that warm, familiar atmosphere you can feel comfy. As simple as that! Thank you Gloria!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The convenience and the helpfulness of Gloria and the staff there. They are knowledgeable and will always go the extra mile for you.
Cons: Frequent electricity cuts but this will be the case in most places in Zambia. Electricity cuts of up to 15 hours a day. Gloria does have a generator but this will not power the fridge oven or microwave though.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place to stay while visiting Victoria Falls. Gloria is really sweet and attentive - lovely people at the spot will make you feel welcome big time. Even when the city was missing electricity, Gloria put a special effort to arrange the fan powered by generator to cool down her guests :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Host Gloria and her staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: I have no complaints or negative comments.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: There was enough bedding and beds for family of 5 and they were comfortable and clean. Nice Host Family, professional staff. They even offered tour guidance during our stay.
Okay 5.8
Cons: The generator supplying electricity when there is no electricity was too loud. You could hardly work not sleep.
Good 7.5
Pros: good staff and breakfast.
Cons: not work Air conditioner. not good wifi . 2 cockroach . blackout always at night.

Pros: Amazing location on the bank of the Zambezi river. Comfy rooms with balcony (or terrace if on the ground floor), air con that worked, fridge in room, lovely bar area, great dining choices, lovely pool area (that was never crowded when we were there) nightly entertainment, wildlife visits during the day and night (monkeys, warthogs and hippos), fantastic friendly and attentive staff, activities staff from Heritage Tours on-site and reliable for booking tours etc (sunset dinner cruise a must!) and reliable shuttle service to and from the falls and village.
Cons: Nothing negative about our stay.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location. Fantastic staff went above and beyond. Awesome pool. Restaurant was lovely. The turndown service is so useful. Definitely recommend.

Pros: The suite faces the bush but unfortunately there are many monkeys so it is not very safe to sit outside.
Cons: The bedrooms are small, both the master bedroom and the second bedroom. The layout of the rooms also not good, because of the split level. It is not suitable for family with young kids or person with limited mobility.
Excellent 9.6

Cons: that we only stayed for 2 nights. would have loved to stay longer

Pros: Second time here and I am pleased as ususl.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: In the heart of Livingstone, this cosy hostel and budget friendly hotel has the friendliest and kindest staff. Will help with planning all sorts of great things to do in Livingstone and a fun place to be in the evenings.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Per my previous review, it is a great place to stay.
Cons: There are really no major flaws with Jollyboys. See my previous review for suggested improvements.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: What a satisfying place to stay! The location is perfect, in the heart of Livingstone and a short walk to the most important sites and amenities (including two large supermarkets). In terms of layout, it’s been thoughtfully conceived to be conducive to multifarious activities: quiet spaces for R&R, an art corner for contemplation, a bar and pool for mingling and rooms at the back for peace and quiet. Although I didn’t book activities through the hostel, the travel desk was often busy with enquires and the listed tours seemed reasonable. I ordered breakfast on one occasion and it was generous and tasty. The dorm rooms are quite new and thoughtfully laid out. Staff are friendly and helpful, too, particularly Marius who spontaneously organised a braai on my final evening. I really had a good time at Jollyboys, both times I stayed.
Cons: The shower heads in the communal bathrooms are a little rusty and could do with replacing. An air freshener in the dorm rooms would be helpful as the stench from people’s backpacks and dirty clothing often stifled my sleep during the night particularly as the air conditioning would cut out at all hours (which is a Zambia-wide problem). Consider having the wifi reach further than just the bar. It makes sense from a business perspective to limit it to the bar, forcing people to sit there which will encourage them to buy drinks while surfing the internet, but it’s not conducive to privacy when you need to make Skype or WhatsApp calls. Just a few thoughts.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I’ve stayed at Jollyboys a number of times over many years & the place has got better & better. Food is good & the staff are brilliant.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: We appreciated the continuous communication before our arrival and the in house activity office who can organize all the events and activities around Livingstone. We found this a great deal of convenience and their knowledge of the area and particulars were invaluable to our stay. A special mention to Mwila who arannged everything for us! We also loved the friendly, unpretentious staff who catered for our every need with a huge smile. The communal living area was a pleasant place to hang around in between activities, allowing guests to share experiences and with FIFA World Cup being broadcasted on two TVs during our stay. It is very welcoming to see a stay that focuses a lot on sustainable living and care for their environment and community which permeates through their values as a business. Furthermore we liked the pricing and we found it exceptionally reasonable and it is definitely value for money. Finally it is often a scary experience when it comes to taking a taxi but Jollyboys have selected a few drivers who is often on standby which made it very easy for us. They were always so fantastic, honest and friendly, particularly Sam who made this trip extra special for us!
Cons: We didn't like the shared shower facilities which perhaps shared a common geysers hence running out on hot water and water pressure during showers at peak hours. We also found the heavily rusted soap trays in the showers a little disconcerting. Another problem was the Wi-Fi internet where you are confined to a small bar area where it is shared amongst all guests. This proved difficult during peak traffic where everyone is using the bandwidth at the same time which made it very slow. It was also not always convenient as you didn't have any Wi-Fi signal in the rooms. Lastly the bar could perhaps improve on it's menu selection which is minimal and a more comprehensive curio shop could be something to consider for those looking to bring something back as a gift or for memory as a matter of convenience for travellers.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Staff is amazing!!! They helped us in everything we needed. The pool is really good and having bar/restaurant in the property is also really good (very fair prices).
Cons: Shower has not much water (need to find the good one) and sometimes bathroom was not super clean, but nothing that really impact the experience, considering the high occupation during holiday, it was good enough.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff, location, vibe. Incredible hostel!
Cons: Not sure what to say here... :)
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Friendliness of staff, location and relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Nothing really
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent service with friendly and helpful staff. Common facilities are great, comfortable and colourful. Food was tasty. The hostel is also in a great location just opposite Livingstone museum. There was a free pick up from the airport and also free transport to the falls.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a mosquito net on the window of our room to have the possibility to open it and have fresh air in the night. Slow internet was available only in the restaurant area.

Pros: The breakfast was great, lots of variety in fruits, drinks, and other things. The rooms were clean and spacious. Even though there is load shedding we always had power. The staff were very helpful. We arrived in the morning and they made arrangements for us to access our room when we arrived. It is close to shops and restaurants and one can easily walk to different places. A great place to stay in Livingstone.

Pros: The gardens and surrounding were very nice and the restaurant was good too.
Cons: The air conditioning and WiFi only worked at night. The power turns off at 7 am.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: We stayed for 10days. Will highly recommend to anyone to stay here. Everyone made us feel so welcome and were so accommodating. Daily shuttle to the falls and town. River boat cruise on site. Cant wait to go back.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Fantastic location by the water albeit a little far from town. Great food and very nice accomodation for an affordable price.
Cons: No provided transport from town and overly expensive quoted price.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I like the genuine friendliness of the staff and the resorts location. It is at the edge of the mighty Zambezi river. We also enjoyed the 2 hour sunset river cruise on the resort boat, with dinner and drinks as much as like.
Cons: Our chalet was not properly cleaned for the entire duration of our 4 nights stay. It's like they only make up the beds and don't attend to the floors.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Exceptional location. Very attentive staff and any problems were attended to immediately. Would unreservedly recommend this hotel/campsite.
Good 7.0
Pros: Next to the Zambezi river. Great to sit outside by the river. The facilities were abit dated but it gave the place a cultural feel. The staff were amazing cleaning, putting out the mosquito nets. The food was good and reasonably priced. Since our flight was later in the day they let us have a late checkout.
Good 6.2
Pros: It was close to the falls. About a 8min cab ride.
Cons: Food wasn't very good. Internet was terrible. All the adventures from activity center were stupid exspensive. Staff seemed disappointed when I wanted to extend my stay. No screens on the windows in the room. Lots of bugs. For our meals we went to a near by hotel called Avani. Much better food and better priced items.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great location along the Zambezi River. Friendly staff and an enjoyable stay.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is THE PLACE TO BE in Livingstone. Central location, walking distance to town, cafe', restaurants, supermarket, banks and the very interesting Museum. Very good breakfast, you can choose among different options, the room was clean and confortable, moskito net was included. Very nice garden and pool. What makes this place special is the staff, starting from the owner, a super lovely lady passionate for dogs and always ready to help her clients. I booked the Devil's pool through the lodge, everything was perfectly organised. As solo traveller I had many questions even before getting there and I always got very precise, helpful and detailed answers, providing me with all different options available. The staff is simply amazing, kindness is the rule at Zig Zag lodge. I really suggest to be closer to town rather than the falls which are very easily reachable by taxi or local bus, but enjoyable only during the day. I definitively recommend this place! Thanks again for making my stay unforgettable!
Good 7.9
Pros: Zig Zag Town Lodge is located outside downtown Livingstone on the road leading to Victoria Falls National Park. The rooms are basic, but clean. There is a swimming pool, restaurant, WiFi, free parking and 24-hour security. The hotel is owned by an English woman who also runs a shelter for homeless animals. I enjoyed my stay at Zig Zag and would return.
Good 7.9
Pros: This was a good value for money stopover. Room was small but adequate&had good mosquito net. Plenty of hot water for the shower. The muffins were amazing
Cons: Room was a bit small but otherwise fine.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Staff were friendly & restaurant was good when it was open.
Cons: Lots of mosquitoes in room, no communal area to sit when restaurant was closed (as it was on our 1st night). Slightly run down & overpriced, even with the genius discount.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Central accommodation with a nice garden between the falls and town with walking distance to church/museum/shops. You can book all your activities, the hosts are very friendly, natural and give you a great welcome-feeling, they are always there for a chat and advices. I liked the natural bathroom with the spacious shower.

Pros: I was made to feel at home away from home. They organised a friendly driver who fetched me from the airport. He took me to town to get a Zambian sim card and gave me a mini tour of the town. I was greeted by friendly staff ,who made sure I was happy at all times. The rooms are clean, spacious ,safe and beautiful. I felt like I was in a beautiful village! It is now my favourite place in Zambia!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Eco-lodge is really a fantastic place. Own traditional house for a couple with an outdoor shower looking at the trees and sky; a private reception outdoor covered space to welcome friends; enough plugs and IT-potential for working also; good space for storing suitcases and clothes for a couple. It's ideal for a couple! Also the privacy and the reeds-type pool that is magic and clean... Enjoyed myself a lot
Cons: Nothing. I was pleased with everything even the breakfast had healthy choices
Okay 5.8
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful; the rooms are comfortable
Cons: They could do more in the way of entertainment at the premises. The swimming pool, though clean, is more of pond with tadpoles and such, so you can't use it for too long.

Pros: The place is Fab! I was quite surprised at the beauty. When I heard elephants pass nearby, I was sold. For breakfast, I had a fruit bowl with fresh organic strawberries from their garden. It was delectable. There was a beautiful trail around the property, so I did a few laps. The also has a natural pool. My Chalet was WOW!!! Absolutely stunning, with a private indoor/outdoor garden. It was 5 star and also an Eco lodge.
Cons: Fab!
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff was very helpful and pleasent. They were there to help us when we needed assistance. I would like to mention that Precious, Sheila, Vincent and Choolwe always went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. We do appreciate it, especially when all the staff organized the bon fire for us to have our s'mors. A big thank you to that. And a big thank you to Nina, who made sure that everything is in order and that we are happy. She really did here best to assist us with everything that we needed which made our trip very pleasent. We will definitely see you guys again!! Thanks Tamar & Ma'ayan
Cons: The load shedding and no fresh & clean towels. The towels were smelly.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Breakfasts are good
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Eco system and deco, very relaxed
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Thanks so much for this wonderful experience. Staff was really helpful and really kind (once more: thank you Debra) Lodge was amazing (looks like a little African village, wonderful swimming pool area,...) They offer extra services free of charges (they booked for us our boat cruise, a Victoria fall walk,...) If we come back to Zambia, we will definitely spend few days there again. They are also really close from the falls.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Pros: The lodge is very nice and the room was great! Wireless internet was fast and allowed some work to get done. The building is in a great location and everyone was very helpful. Excellent!
Cons: There really wasn't anything not to like. Everything was clean and in order. However, it would be nice to be provided a couple bottles of water. Even if the hotel had some drinks available to purchase.
