I booked an 8 seater van and was given a Peugeot 5008 instead. Had booked the vehicle via a 3rd party some 3 months before hand. The reason given for the change of vehicle was that they were busy. I did question that when the booking was taken they had the vehicle I wanted so why not now? No real reason was given other than they were busy. To give the staff their due, they did offer me 2 vehicles for the same price if the 5008 was not big enough. I must also say that the staff were pleasant ands tried their best around the situation they had to deal with which was in all likelyhood out of their control. Other than the wrong vehicle and the delay the replacement vehicle caused the vehicle was good and drop off very easy.

I booked a hire car for New Year but when I got to the desk to pick it up I was told that I'd booked it as an American citizen and that I needed to pay nearly double as a result!!!!! I was basically stranded at the airport with my young family and no car. Would never book through this company again.

Excellent experience. The only problem was changing my pickup and dropoff Times, because I prepaid through KAYAK. I suspect at a larger airport, with more cars this would have been easier. The staff tried hard to make my change possible.

Besides being expensive, we told them what time we were dropping the car back off and they never mentioned they’d be closed so we had no shuttle to the airport and we had to walk with all of our baggage from Sixt to the airport on dark unlit streets in a foreign country. Very dissatisfied. They also did not have the car they repeatedly told us they’d have. We reserved a small SUV and they offered us a sedan or a slightly larger SUV. Of course there was an up charge for the suv so we got stuck in a sedan for the trip.

Sixt rental in Inverness airport looked after us very well. The shuttle picked us up at the terminal building, the driver was extremely friendly as were the office staff. The car was good looking, clean and pleasure to drive. They offered me an automatic transmission which I appreciated. Drop-off was straightforward with a key dropbox in the terminal building. Returning the car with a full tank of fuel was tricky as the nearest gas station was some distance away.
