Despite reservation to pick up in Dunedin, upon arrival from Uber ride was told there were no cars available and to call customer service. Customer service notified me that there was a car available instead in Clearwater. Schedule another Uber ride from Dunedin to Clearwater and upon arrival in Clearwater was told there were no cars immediately available, and they would have to get one ready. To the credit of the gentleman who assisted me in Clearwater, he was very helpful and got a vehicle ready as quickly as he could. once I receive the car, everything was fine, but the pickup process was quite a hassle requiring an additional unexpected Uber ride.Reviewed 3 Feb 2026

no cars upon arrival. employee gave me someone else's rental. overcharged me $8 without telling me. when i questioned it, employee had a horrible attitude and threatened to take the car back and leave me statnded without a car. he was arrogant and rude. took car and it smelled of vinegar, was filthy inside and the tire pressure indicator came on 1/4 way through our trip. won't rent from budget again.Reviewed 12 Mar 2025

Thomas was very professional and courteous. The Ford F-150 was clean and ran well. I would use this Budget location in the future if the need arises.Reviewed 25 Jul 2024

For context, I travel for my job and I rent a lot of cars. Please avoid this rental location and Budget as a rule. This rental location was some fly by night outfit that has no quality control with their vehicles and I honestly felt unsafe with the car provided, and went elsewhere. The rental office was filthy and smelled awful. One person working who didn’t know about inventory and realized they had one car left. They hand me keys and I walk to car. It was covered in bird poop. I open door and it was filthy. Stain covered seats, dirty floors etc. They don’t even clean cars or check for safety issues between customers! The vehicle was clearly not cared for and no way was I risking my family’s safety in that tin can on wheels. I returned keys and found another location and rental. Kayak should not be offering this rental company as an option as it’s a full on liability. Avoid for your own safety.Reviewed 8 Feb 2024

I rent cars a lot for work travel. This location was downright frightening and shady. The office was dirty and smelly, which is okay otherwise, but they didn’t even seem to know what cars were available or what condition. They randomly gave me a key for one car they had left. I go to this car and it’s covered in bird poop all over and the inside was filthy and has stain covered seats. The car didn’t appear to be safe or taken car of. Avoid this location. I won’t book on kayak again for a car as this place was not safe. I refused the car and went elsewhere.Reviewed 3 Feb 2024
