The Maxda CX 3 was woefully under-powered. The check engine light was on continuously and I told the woman at the desk who insisted that was really an oil level light that was never reset at last maintenance. Not really a good answer.Reviewed 13 Oct 2022

Had our choice of 2 cars ,picked a Toyota Camry , very clean and sanitized,service was fast and friendly on pick up! Drop off was a breeze , fella met us at drop point and did his thing ,was done by the time luggage was unloaded! Not happy with the rental price but what you gonna do. I was only renting the car for less than 42 hours but overall the rental cost $400, which was more than my round-trip flight to get to Halifax for the weekend. I understand there’s a shortage of vehicles available but I was pretty stressed and disappointed by the unexpectedly high cost.Reviewed 22 Aug 2022

I was pleased with the ease of picking up and returning my vehicle. The location was just steps from my arrival and departure flights. The vehicle was clean and ready to go. Easy exit from Stanfield Airport Halifax and easy return from the highway (stay to the left). SADLY the gas option was automatically applied to my bill ($61.40 plus $9.21 tax) which was not even mentioned to me as an option by the Budget Representative. I noticed and questioned the "agreed" option BEFORE signing my contract, and the difference between my quote and the actual contract amount, the Budget Representative replied that it was beneficial to me if I was below 1/4 of a tank and if I filled the tank prior to returning I would just be "credited" the amount on my bill. I returned the car filled to the brim, yet my emailed receipt included the charges. I am hoping that I am automatically credited as promised and the representative did not mislead me in order for me to just "sign" the contract and move on. This is unfortunate that I must now "watch what Budget does and respond accordingly" instead of just walking away fully satisfied with my rental experience as everything else was better than expected.Reviewed 20 Aug 2022
