Arrived at the Akron Budget rental location and was told that the vehicle I rented was not available. Being out of town, I had Ubered there under the promise of a vehicle there (I had reserved online). When they told me they didn’t have it they offered no apology or remedy but rather said that I would have to go to the airport to get a vehicle. They had a “not my problem” mentality even though the car was reserved ahead of time. I asked if they could transport me to another location as it was the company’s fault for allowing the reservation and they said no and gave me a list of local taxi companies. Again, being stuck since I was in town on business I had to Uber again to the airport where I eventually was able to get a vehicle. Overall, it cost me two hours in time and was a terrible experience.Reviewed 1 Oct 2022

I specifically went here because they were the lowest priced in the area, only for them not to have that size car. They gave me a car two sizes up, and refused to give me the free upgrade. Stupid. Pros:Everything went smoothly with drop-off and pick-up. No surprise fees.Cons:Wish the cost of a secondary driver wasn't so high, especially considering their having full coverage insurance. Think it was fifteen bucks or so a day, maxing out at six days.Reviewed 11 Nov 2020

Cons:They did not honor my reservation. They did not have a car for me. Instead they tried to sell me a more expensive rental and then demanded I get the $100/ day insurance that is supposed to be “optio. I walked away with no car. Mark at 259 West Market is inconsideratePros:NothingCons:Mark was "out of cars" and rebooked me an hour before pickup to the airport, which was inconvenient. He claimed it wouldn't cost any more. Instead, the airport had higher fees and taxes, and the person working there told me Mark regularly reschedules everyone to the airport when they have a one-way trip because he prefers round-trip rentals at his franchise location. Pros:I was concerned about booking online but everything went very well and I would do it again. Online saved me half the cost since it significantly reduced the one way fee. The car was clean and comfortable and easy on gas. Pick up was easy and drop off was easy except the location was difficult for an out of town person.Reviewed 19 Sep 2016
