The car had dents outside, which is acceptable on an island. Inside it was terrible, looked like a 5+ year old car which was never cleaned ever. The car squealed downhill (50% of roads on Tortola). After a quick check we learned that all for brakepads where gone. Front brake discs where weavy. Rear discs corroded. Overall, minimal and unreliable brakes in a 7 seater on a hilly island. Avis is on my blacklist from now on.Reviewed 1 May 2024

Kayak is showing the incorrect pickup location. So when we booked we have kayak emails confirming one pickup location but then received emails from Avis showing a different location. It ended up being about a 45 minute difference. Avis advised the location on Kayak is no longer open. Also, we received a call 2 days before from Avis confirming if we needed the rental, but then advising they may not have the car available. Because we were traveling with 3 small children we needed that specific car. They offered to give us 2 cars for the same price which was not the right solution for us. This caused tons of unnecessary stress. Although, they made it right in the end and we got the car we reserved, they really didn’t need to communicate that they may not have the car until they really didn’t have the car.Reviewed 1 May 2024

Car had a screw in the tire and could not call directly to any Avis stores to find a replacement. Came in to the Franklin Tn location ant Embassey Suites and was told there was a car coming in and after two days finally left with no car replacement! Customer service was terrible. The maintenance light came on had to find a Avis rental to bring it in. All the cars were filthy dirty. Many smelled like cigarettes. Will not use Avis again.Reviewed 30 Apr 2024

Great experience! Service counter was well staffed with friendly agents, allowing for wait times to get the car to be minimal. Drop off was easy and quick, too. The car we had was awesome for our two week vacation. First time I had used Avis and was very impressed.Reviewed 28 Apr 2024
