Great staff has been hired at the PHL airport location. Each professional I interacted with first of all seemed to enjoy their jobs, did there jobs extraordinary well, and genuinely liked customers and wanted to make the experience as helpful as possible. There seems to be a culture of excellence and going the extra mile at that location. I will surely be trying Avis at other locations too to see if that culture extends across the company. I wish I remembered the names of the people who helped me at this recent booking and give them a shout out. The bus driver, a man, was delightful, chatty, great energy and care at 7 am on August 14, 2026. I did not ask his name, but I wish I could have given him a 5-star review, that positive attitude and excellent work ethic really cheered me up after a red eye. Then the rental agent inside was similarly genuinely great customer service. Also a man, and I am blanking on his name, he introduced himself - Raph? He was also exceptional. And lastly not to forget the agent who helped me return the car, his name might have been Chuck, tall guy. He was a pleasure as well. Cannot say enough about your team, and I have taken the time to write a review less than 10 times out of the thousands of requests that come my way. My original reservation specified a 4x4 vehicle, and I paid extra for this option. However, upon my arrival, the rental counter indicated that they did not have a 4x4 or an equivalent substitute available. I was provided with a vehicle of lesser value but was still charged the full amount for the 4x4 booking. Because I did not receive the vehicle class I paid for, I requested a partial refund or appropriate compensation for the price difference, but I never received a response.Reviewed 17 Aug 2026

We rented a Mini Van, but they were recalled so we ended up with a mid suv. Everything turned out great. The lady couldn't have been any nicer. Would rent again in the future.Reviewed 17 Aug 2026

I got there and they told me they had noncars for me because they ran out of them. So basically he told me to go frog myself and get for a car somewhere else. He was not going to help me. So my experience was terrible and would not recommend to anyone. Useless service with employees who didn't gave a ship for their customers.Reviewed 17 Aug 2026

Avis did not have any cars available for anyone at the Austin airport tx location. Told they may have cars in 3-4 hours but probably not what you originally reserved. No way to do business. Went to another onsite rental car company who had available cars for a lower rate.Reviewed 16 Aug 2026

Front desk girl was not so friendly. Didn’t give clear instructions no paperwork was given she seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Asked for my drivers license and a card so I gave it to her. Then she gave me a #k6 didn’t know what that meant so I asked what it means she just looks at me like I’m dumb and says that’s where the car is parked…um ok so I went but I didn’t even get paperwork I didn’t sign anything. We booked online with kayak, but when we got to the Avis ticket counter, they said they didn’t honor same day booking site reservations, and refused to provide a car for us. We ended up having to go with budget, which ended up being cheaper anyway.Reviewed 15 Aug 2026
