The only thing I like about Avianca is that it is the airline of last choice and they never disappoint my expectations
Higher low cost.
Avianca is worse than other budget airlines

Cons: My wife lost the fly for delay in the first fly from Cúcuta to bogota
Pros: Comfortable flight good crew
Cons: The boarding process could use help, to chaotic at times but some of the has to do with the countries policies. But I’d give it a B+
Cons: We were not allowed to check my bag in line 2 hours early. Time listed on e boarding pass was at gate but we were in line 2 hours early and not alerted to get put ahead in lines. Misleading us and 3 others we knew of to not allowed to check bags or go to gate. Had to rebook next available 1 1/2 days later.
Pros: Crew was ok.
Cons: Four people at the desk in the check in as area, totally insufficient for the whole operation in a busy day.
Cons: PRICE
Pros: Buenos protocolos COVID
