Good experience. The location is definitely in a "downtown" location near the Brooklyn Bridge, which made getting to the location and returning the car a challenge, but they company was easy to work with. I was upgraded, which was a nice surprise and perk. I recommend them!Reviewed 9 Oct 2026

The counter agent at Ace Rent a Car misled me into paying for unnecessary insurance. I had already purchased full collision protection through KAYAK for $80 total. Upon pickup, the agent aggressively insisted that my policy was invalid and instructed me to cancel it, promising a full refund, while forcing me to take their in-house coverage at $50/day ($200 total). I was coerced into paying $200 under false pretenses. I demand a full refund for this forced upsell.Reviewed 25 Sept 2026

No sooner than we drove off the lot we had to turn back around because we saw the light on the dashboard showing that one of the tires was nearly flat. We turned back around and when I went back in and told them that one of the tires was flat, there was no apology, no “I’m so sorry for the inconvenience”. Horrible experience. Will never rent from them again. Even after saying no to insurance coverage, they still charged for it. They never asked us to show the proof of insurance.
