This hotel was our haven on a spontaneous, though poorly timed trip to the beach. After dealing with horrible conditions the night before that led to us sleeping in the car, the staff had mercy enough to let us check in early and get some quality rest before enjoying an adventurous night on the town. Definitely recommend this place!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful.
I have travelled to Wilmington for years and this is the only hotel I stay at. It is a great value for the money. The hotel is clean, bright and well appointed. The breakfast is tasty with good variety. There is a nice manager's reception weekly. Most importantly, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
We were given no room choice and the first night was in a smoking room where the odor was terrible. finally did change the room the next day.
Room smelled of mold and there were mold stains on ceiling. Stay otherwise uneventful until I returned home and received a call 2 days later from one of the hotel employees telling me that the flatscreen television in our room had been damaged and that a police report was being filed, although the room was left in excellent condition by my family. I assume that housekeeping damaged the television and tried to pass it off on the guest. I called the hotel's corporate office and filed a complaint against the employee for the accusation and never heard another thing from the hotel after that except for the apology I received from the corporate representative. Very unprofessional and quite frankly offensive for an employee to accuse a frequent guest of such activities.
My daughter and I had a great time in Wilmington, NC. We went down there to visit our love relatives. Our stay in Holiday Inn was fantastic! We both appriciate the warm customer service we received from the moment we got there to the time we left. The housekeeper lady was We will make Holiday Inn our new place to stay everytime we come back to Wilmington, NC Ms. Martinez
Trust me, do not get a smoking room if you do not smoke, even if that is all that they have available. They told me to bring air freshner, but I did not and they did come up and spray their air freshner, but the pillows were horrendous. The staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful throughout my stay but the front desk lady on the morning that we checked out was a tad bit abrasive.
I have stayed here 5 times since 9/07. I request this hotel every time I am down here on business. The staff is very friendly! They have gone out of their way for me many times.
My room and hotel as a whole was very clean. The mattress was very comfortable. Was happy with restaurant. All hotel staff was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Easy to find and convenient for whatever you're doing. Room is clean and well appointed. Good pillows. I like the idea of their charging for towels, etc. you might want to swipe. It's only fair and the towels are good!
the web site said 3pm check-in but not until 4pm\nthe site says free continental breakfast but not the case they serve breakfast but at a cost \nfront desk staff not very professional\nno refrigerator in room no microwave and funky layout of items in room
When reservations were made, there was no mention of renovations being done in the hotel.\nand also we were told that we were not eligible for a microwave or a refrigerator because theywere for suites only and we were roomed in We did not have either appliance. The room was not thoroughly cleaned.,espicially the bathroom. We will not be staying at another Holiday Inn. Also it was not handicap friendly.
We booked this hotel for a family vacation traveling with our two children. Housekeeping consistently would not leave 4 towels, cups, etc., required going to front desk to get soap for washing machine, and only one sink. No towel rack for hand towel by said sink, bathroom door wouldn't open the whole way. No free breakfast, despite representations otherwise. Pool was nice, though.
It would have been better having a sink both within the bathroom and outside. ''free coffee'' in the room only had enough for one person. Don't ask for a cot - we tried 2 and both were broken and warped. The bar was ''ok'' but most of what you asked for they were out of. Not very friendly staff.
Room was supposed to be non-smoking though it had a lingering cigar smell. Breakfast was awful. Front desk was very helpful at check in & out.
Good room for the money although the air seemed like it was either ON or OFF. Indoor pool was nice as it was too cool for outside swimming. One bad part was there was some uneaten food and trash by the back door which was there for over 12 hours and smelled pretty foul. But overall hotel was clean and service good. Would stay again.
Friendliest hostess in the restaurant you'll ever encounter. But, lifting rugs in hallways, handicap rooms that really aren't and a handicap entrance that didn't work were frustrating. Very convenient location, however.
