They didn't tell me my rental was no longer available. They tried calling me to tell me an hour before my car was due to be picked up to tell me that it was unavailable but I missed the call and ended up going in person to then be told I can't pick up my car. They could have emailed me or left a text message but they did not bother to go to that extent. Didn't even get some sort of voucher or coupon to compensate my going all the way in person to pick up the car. Very horrible experience overall.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
The staff were decent. they were friendly and somewhat understanding. The car I received was not the car reserved. and the car received had a horrible odor that the staff tried to convince me of cleaning products. IT WAS NOT!!!! and it smelled so bad the whole trip i had to personally buy air fresheners. Literally!!!! and i know some of my stuff smelled like the car after a few hours. NO GOOD!!!!!!!!!Cons:
I asked for a better smelling car before i took it off the lot and they convinced me that the smell would go away. No the smell didnt. Car ran smooth.... also it woulda been nice to have some gas in the car before leaving the lot too.10.0 Wonderful

Incorrect or missing information in listing: 1. location for reservation was not the Enterprise at the airport 2. would not accept debit card, so I couldn't rent a car - stranded at airport and had to have my grieving mom (father's death) drive an hour to pick us up I would have arranged other transportation if these points were emphasized on sign up9.6 Wonderful

Super friendly service checking in and out. Car was exactly what we wanted, and performed perfectly. They even gave me $10 off when I told them about the smoke smell in the car. This is the first time I've gone to an off-airport rental place, and it's now in my future every time.10.0 Wonderful

Convenience of pick up in Philly's Center City & drop off at airport. Low price! Kia compact was nimble and responsive.Cons:
At pick-up they printed the right price on the contract. At drop off, the price they printed on the receipt was more than quadruple the quoted price. I had to go in to the counter and wait in line and it took three agents to fix the problem and honor the original quote. If I had not had the time to wait in line and if the agents hadn't been as competent and dedicated, I would have been very, very upset with the quadrupling of the price. And keep in mind that my original reservation was for a midsize at the same low price. I agreed to a compact because it was the only one ready and clean at pick up. So I would have paid more for less. I suspect the software used in the machines that print your receipt on the return lot is not in sync with the software that manages the agreements with kayak. Also interesting that my final receipt was from Budget, although the reservation and office were Avis.10.0 Wonderful

There was not an actual Budget location but it was in a Hyatt - that would have been nice to know ahead of the time. There was no place to park, so I kept circling while trying to contact Budget. Of course, it was impossible to get anyone in the actual Philadelphia location on the phone, and the call center didn't have a clue what to do. After way too long trying to figure out what to do, I just parked illegally. It was extremely frustrating. I don't understand why the information needed was not told to me prior.2.0 Poor

Cons:
The return in Philadelphia merely gave an address, which turned out to be a hotel that you had to enter down a long alley (after we passed it twice). There was no signage or instructions for Budget or car rental of any kind. On the third try, we went into the hotel valet line and were told to go into the garage and up to the 7th floor. Up there, there was no sign or instruction as to where to drop the keys or what to do and it was deserted and a bit off putting. We ran into a gentleman with no badge or shirt who said to go into the hotel and down to the basement. We dragged our luggage down through the garage and then across the lot into the hotel, and then had to ask a number of people for directions to the car rental return. The whole process was stressful and very long, making us late to our event which happened to be a memorial for my late father. It was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. If the instructions to return are that complicated or out of the ordinary, having that information ahead of time would be helpful, as I would have opted to return to a different location or have left much more time for the process.National
