They demanded $1,500 cash deposit at the counter + $600 for insurance even though we had already purchased full coverage insurance for the rental. We had to walk away and loose the money we spent on the rental ahead of time. It was a bad experience.Reviewed 16 May 2025

If I could I would give them -5 star!! When I went to pick up the car they said they didn’t have the car that I had reserved also they wanted me to charge another insurance if they give me another car! (I really need it a 7 passenger vehicle since we were 4 and had a lot of baggage 😡) I had to go to another company to look for what ever 7 passenger vehicle they had. I looked into my rental months in advance. When I arrived in El Salvador I was told I couldn’t use the insurance that I paid for and that I would need to pay for a different insurance they require in order to rent the car. Very frustrating! Then they said I needed to put a 2000 dollar deposit, the alternative was to rent a vehicle that was twice as quoted. This was the second time this has happened to us. With a 2000 deposit and a 1200 rental for 1 week I’m better off just buying a car and selling it for a slightly less of a loss when I leave in 1 week! Horrible experience!Reviewed 12 Dec 2024

Budget called an Hour before we boarded our flight to reconfirm our rental. When we arrived at the aIrport at 11pm no midsize car was available and they tried to give us a pickup truck at double the price. Bait and switch . Most other car rental counters were closed BUT we were able to find a better car for cheaper through Best car rental. Budget pulled the same stunt in september.Reviewed 23 Nov 2024

Liked nothing. They made me stay outside for about an hour while they got the paper work ready for the car. They made me pay almost $200 more for insurance and I had a letter from my insurance company stating that I was covered and I also had insurance coverage fro my Citibank ceditcard that I used to pay. When I returned the car they charged me an additional $113 for a scrap on the right rear bumper they said was not there, even though I had pictures on my phone of it and the original paperwork that their employee filed out listing the damage and then they charged my $1.25 for their employee to give us a ride back to the departing area of the airport telling me it was to cover parking for their own lot.Reviewed 5 Aug 2024
