Location was excellent alright going down to bath, but returning could be a problem for some. Thank God for the No 31 Bus ! Breakfast was very good with a good selection.
Our room was very clean and suited our requirements. We had room 330 which we found lugging cases etc up all those stairs was a bit of a pain. The other moan I would like a booklet with all the information regarding the Hotel facilities and how to operate the TV Broadband Heating etc altogether rather than in pamphlet form.
Cleanliness and staff
A downhill walk to town, but not too far from centre & bus stop was opposite. good quality towels and linen
Annoyed that parking cost only mentioned after booking was made. Although it is good value, the charges should be stated in the main description. room 317 was above service area & was quite noisy at times, had to keep window shut, but a comfy room
Excellent service from the staff, beautiful building and very clean.
The windows in our room were very high so you couldn’t see out of them which made the room feel a little dark.
Title chosen bearing in mind 3 star hotel : Helpful and polite staff, clean rooms and dining area, pretty decor throughout. Nice situation as on hill overlooking Bath city.
We stayed 6 nights half board, but we would suggest only do half board for maximum 2 nights as current menu limited. Also from this limited menu meals chosen at times were not available or out of season, not being told in advance resulted in both of us having same meal repeatedly on 3 occasions, not really appreciated or enjoyed. Other area to keep in mind was easy walk down on steep hill to town, bus or taxi recommended back. Also suggest book local taxi via reception if using transport from or to Bristol airport cost 40 pounds a trip. We felt we had poor value for our money and became aware many guests were staying on hotel discounts which didn’t help.
