Clean room and clean bed (checked the mattress and linen). Friendly staff, good location and the ability to use kitchen (fridge, microwave etc). Good value for money. Good location if you are looking to stay near the old Jewish quarter.
Thin walls, noise from other rooms can be easily heard. Only one toilet on the corridor can get crowded when the hostel is more crowded.
It was clean, safe w 24/7 front desk and card scan outside gate security
The staff was not very knowledgeable. I asked for best way to airport in early am. They said they use reputable taxi co for 20-30 pln (local currency). It was 65 pln - my Uber ride to the hostel was 25 pln. Also they said they’d have early breakfast ready on the day we had an early pickup to Auschwitz and it was not ready. I wouldn’t have minded but they said for sure it would be.
5-15 mins walk from all sights in the middle of the jewish district. safe area. extremely clean. the building looks like a grey block from outside, but once you enter, the hostel has a lovely vintage style teracce full of plants and a small fountain at the entrace. it is truly lovely.
Street krakowska under massive road making, they are expanding the tramline.
Got a double room all to myself for a great price. Very clean with adequate storage. Nice decor throughout.
It was a 20ish minute walk from the main square. It is closer I think to other attractions maybe, that I didn't see, but these things don't matter much if you're travelling with others but as a solo traveller I didn't like having to walk residential streets at night despite it being fairly well lit.
For the price I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfy and I was more than happy with my room and toilet facilities. Considering it was a 'shared bathroom' I barely shared it. I was on the ground floor and each room had a bathroom opposite. Others could use them but because there was so many I never had to wait. It was also super convenient it being opposite my room. The room was super cute and I loved that even though its a hostel, I was able to have the option of a private room. The service off the staff before hand were great too as I had messaged them twice with questions and I had a helpful response super quick both times
Considering the reviews of this place were so great I was expecting a lot. I booked a hostel because I was alone and wanted those hostel benefits of meeting people and being able to book tours. There were some recommendations on the walls but the staff weren't very helpful once I was there. When I checked in I was looked at like I was doing something wrong, she said she didn't know what I was on about which made me feel like there was a problem with my booking. When she actually looked at the computer she said it was there. I'm not sure if she got confused with something else first since she didn't even look at the computer. But the staff barely smiled and said a word. I wasn't made to feel very welcome, I didn't want to sit in the kitchen as I didn't feel comfortable with anything. I was a nervous traveller at the beginning and I was hoping a friendly hostel would help that. Don't get me wrong the service wasn't bad, when I did ask for help I did receive it like with buying bus tickets but it just wasn't a friendly service. I don't think I had one greeting/smile
