Pros: so easy to change our reservation to a one way drop in another town. a quick phone call and it was done. really helped when we were having so much problems with our RV and needed to get to it somehow.
Cons: car was not very comfortable. not thrifty's fault. just not a comfortable car for long travel.

Cons: Your location in Walmart in Myrtle Beach really needs a sign out front somewhere, if you do have one I didnt see it.

Pros: The car we finally ended up with was clean.
Cons: We waited in line for more than 40 minutes before we were helped (this was NOT a very long line). We ended up downgrading to a compact car from the small SUV we initially booked because upon arrival at the Myrtle Beach airport, we were told that our booking location was more than 20 miles away which would have required a lengthy and expensive cab fare. The up charges for the "convenience" of this downgrade cost us more than $50 above what we originally believed we were going to pay. The first car we inspected had severely damaged rims that were nearly falling off, plus many scratches and pock marks. No lot staff in sight, so I had to walk from the lot back into the rental building to find someone. They switched us to the car we ended up with, which had several deep scratches in the paint - no way was I going to leave the lot without those scratches being noted on the rental form. So I made another walk back to the building to find someone to look at and note the damage. When we got to our hotel, we discovered that the fob did not work - not a huge deal since we could lock and unlock the doors manually, but an inconvenience. Overall, an exhausting experience.

Pros: Clean car, easy check out
Cons: charged with some road side assistance fee, that was not told that I had to pay for, then when I disputed with the agent when I went to return they had no accountability for it, since it was a franchise location. Also took 30 minutes to return the car had to go to the rental car counter all the way upstairs because the myrtle beach location hadn't filled out the paper work right. Good thing we got their early or we would have missed our flight.

Cons: They did not have any mid size sedans available to me, which I had ordered way in advance. Forced to take a pickup truck which I was not familiar with and had no cover for putting luggage in the back. They also added all kinds of costs to my original quote. I would never choose Thrifty again. Just awful.
Pros: No time wested to pick up the car and more importantly to drop it off.

Excellent customer service
Pros: I rented a car in Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately the cig lighter didn't work in The VW Jetta, so I was unable to charge my cell phone / gps. I ended up having to exchange the car in Fayetville, NC before continuing my journey to NY. I was quickly given another vehicle free of charge. Later on my trip, I realized I had forgotten by Ipad in the Jetta. After calling Alamo In Fayetville, my iPad was safely secured in their safe. They had far exceeded my expectations with me receiving my personal items as well as a value for my money.

Rude, unfriendly employees
Pros: Car was fine
Cons: Female employee at desk was rude, condescending and just generally created a sour environment for us to start our trip. Car had scratches all over it and when I asked outside employee to document (as they clearly state I'm supposed to do) he was super annoyed to have to do this. Car was fine and price was great but would def use a different company next time. Not a great way to start a vacation after getting off the plane excited and happy.

Great Agent there.
Pros: I'm glad the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand Mall location is open on Sunday's. That is helpful. The gentleman working there that day was very courteous and thorough. He was busy, but always kept smiling.
The vehicle rented was fine, certainly suited my needs.
Cons: When I picked up the car and drove off I realized it only had under a 1/4 tank of gas. I immediately called, he made a note of it on my rental agreement. That's fine but inconvenient to say the least. I was told the car was returned the day before and they didn't have time to gas it (yet). The vehicle had a very strong cologne smell. Not deodorizer but a cologne.
Pros: The size of the vehicle was good and the staff was polite.
Cons: To start we requested that we get a rental at the airport but was assigned a car rental offsite which caused an extra cost to get there. Once we were there the car smelled like cigarettes and ran poorly. They did not have another car in that category to rent so we took what was offered. Make sure when you book with kayak that you get what you requested before finalizing the transaction!!!

Cons: When I arrived at Enterprise they were understaffed. Had to call in workers and people waiting to rent cars. No car available for me until someone happened to bring a car in. Quickly they washed the car and gave it to me.
Honestly not happy. A lot of wasted time waiting around. :(

A Journey for my journey
Pros: Vehicle was relatively clean and smoke free. Comfortable, good extras: gps, keyless ignition. Overall good ride.
Cons: Not the type of vehicle I requested. Was given a Dodge Journey had requested a sub-compact. I did not intend spending much time driving so a bigger vehicle was unnecessary. But, the Journey was all that was available(?). Less than good gas mileage. Overall costs of the rental wasn't bad, but when you add in the taxes, surcharges, airport fees it starts to get exorbitant.

USE A DEBIT CARD AND GET A CREDIT CHECK?!
Pros: I made a reservation to rent a car to drive myself from South Carolina to Boston, Ma. I had a rough week and just needed to get home. I was subject to fraud and had my credit card shut down, so all I had was my debit card.
To make a long story short, my credit is bad and was rejected. Not to mention the embarrassment felt in public, I was stranded.
I think this policy should be rethought and reworked. I had plenty of money to cover the rental plus any extra hold associated with using a debit card.
Your potential customer is now vehemently opposed to ever using your services again.

Pros: They checked us in and saw that we had 2 kids with car seats and strollers and they upgraded us for free to a larger vehicle. I dont know if we would have fit in the smaller one! Saved our trip!

Kia Rio lacked cruise control
Pros: Our car, although it had controls for cruise control, did not have this feature installed. For as much driving as we did (from Myrtle Beach to Columbia and back), this was a pain. Good gas mileage, but next time I'll upgrade to something that feels more secure on the highway. It would be nice for them to include a highway map in the glove compartment.
Cons: Lack of Cruise Control.

Lied about prepay gas "deal"
Cons: I was told that no matter how much gas I had in my tank when returning they would credit my account on a pro rate bases. So you paid for a full tank, but if you came back 1/4 full they gave you a 1/4 of your money back. I returned with 3/8 and they said "sorry has to be half or all full to receive any type of credit" It is a scam!

Cons: The car had a blowout on the highway due to completely bald tires. there is no way this car should have gone out the door. It was a serious safety issue. I regret not looking first and demanding a different car. Don't do what I did.

Not a good experience
Pros: From start to finish very poor experience.
When we picked up the car they just handed us keys and said it is parked out on that side of the parking lot. Ok so no big deal we can find the car. However when we did find the car there was nobody with us to inspect which apparently they don't care because when we returned it nobody even looked at. That brings me to the first real problem and that is the car was nasty. It was a 2014/15 impala with 30k miles on it. It should be in decent shape but this one was bad. The smell was terrible, it had cigarette burns everywhere. The back passenger door was missing the handle in the inside to open so all weekend I had to let my daughter out of the back seat. It had scratches and dents all over it as well. Ok so it's just a car we drove it for a week and then returned it. When I brought the car back the girl was trying to tellme I rented from budget not them because she couldn't find me In the system. I told her no I rented from you guys on Friday matter of fact she was the one that helped me. After 15 minutes she finally found me then handed me a piece a paper and said thanks. No signature no questions nothing ? See ya by! Ok so I will probably rent from a more repututable company in the future even if it's more money
