My rental felt overpriced — $175 for 26 hours and only used $5 worth of gas. Staff didn’t explain cost or meaning of other add ons, felt a little pushy. But I also recognize that that is their job!10.0 Wonderful

Easy pick up and return.Cons:
Avis cars had decals in back window identifying them as rental. In Anchorage, police target rental cars for tickets knowing that most are out of state and can not afford the time or money to return to contest the alleged violation. Easy money and they set up traps. I was given a ticket for running a stop light. Police had spotter (they said) but I was stopped several blocks down the road. Heavy traffic, stop and go, etc... On returning the rental, I talked to two other renters who also got tickets. Easy money for the city. I also saw a drug deal in a hotel parking lot. No police around. Guess they were looking for traffic 'violators' in rental cars. First and last visit to Alaska and these are the two most memorable moments.8.0 Very Good

Dropping the car off the person checking the car in was very polite.Cons:
When checking the car out the guy at the desk was extremely rude. He also said that the insurance you purchase through Kayak does not cover the car. I had to call and add insurance through my personal company before I could leave. I would also recommend putting winter tires on the vehicle when it’s being rented in Alaska during the winter.10.0 Wonderful

Check in staff/agent was not able to locate my rental reservation with my given name, then when asked why he could not find my reservation, stated it was a “common glitch” , then when I asked about the $500 deductible the agent (male) stated that if I did not like the $500 deductible that I could go to another car rental.Cons:

Cost was too high. I didn't get the car I wanted because of the reservation mix-up on Kayak. My card was charged over $800.00 for an estimated cost of just over $400.00.Cons:
