Well priced car rental. But very confusing with all the different insurances. Thought I added it in when securing the car. But that was not recognised at Dollar car rental. So the insurance purchased at the counter cost me as much as the rental itself.

Luxury SUV

No employees was available when I called for two days. Never returned voicemail. Car description was incorrect in multiple ways making it difficult to find the car. No employee onsite in garage to assist. Car was thick with cigarette smoke and could not be driven for 2/3 of the rental time because it needed to air out. The weather was 30 degrees so driving with windows all down was not an option. I would appreciate a refund and if possible a future credit to have a different experience with Hertz as I could never say anything good about them or this entire experience.

Pick up was a nightmare, got sent back and forth up and down to 2 different floors, eventually got sent to a pick up area and was told 'go to area 3'. We go and there's nobody there...we come back...'which car is ours'...and are told 'just take any car'. So we take a car that is the size we wanted, are told it's fine then as we leave the parking lot, a woman scans the car and tells us it's not driveable, so we have to go back in and find another car and rinse and repeat. It was a pretty poor experience, par for the course with hertz.

Why additional $200 charge? Who authorized it? It’s a random business , nobody checked the car at return, and we experienced $200 bill in addition, no clue of what it is. We returned full tank
