Cons: Upon arrival, it took over 30 minutes to check out the car. Dulles Airport staff had no urgency to move people along, so a long line developed. Also, the windshield was streaked and dirty, making it hard to see the road.
I will never rent from this location again.

Pros: Agent did her best under poor conditions.
Cons: Only one agent around midnight with about 8 people trying to check in after a flight. Agent had to pull around cars and work the counter even though everyone had reservations. Poor planning. Waited almost an hour and then the car wouldn't start. Ended up going back to the airport to get an Uber which turned out to be cheaper for my one way trip.

Pros: That there is more than one car rental company to choose from so I can pick any other company instead of Budget.
Cons: The car was too low. The telephone number Budget provided to extend the rental time was for Avis. The agent, Freddie, called me a f*@ing idiot. I will never rent from Budget.

Cons: The shuttle driver was constantly hitting the brakes and starting quickly, very uncomfortable driving from the airport to the pick up location. The representative that helped us never smiled never made eye contact was deceptive in her techniques and overall did a terrible job taking care of us. I was very surprised.

Budget Excellent Service, Value but the cars are r
Pros: Very good service, fast, and the price I think was pretty good. I just thought the cars could have been a little cleaner. This vehicle was all hooked up. GPS, satellite radio, EZPass. So they definitely can turn on whatever you need. Will use again.

Frustrating experience at 2 a.m....
Pros: Eventually got an upgrade to a more comfortable car.
Cons: Took forever to sign in. Charged for fill up even tho declined. Key did not work in the car: wouldn't start. Had to do all the paperwork again. Had to put it on my credit card even tho it was reserved on kayak with my friend's card.
Cons: I would like to know the price of the whole rental with insurance etc. in advance

Great rental experience!
Pros: There were several cars to choose from in my rental category. I, of course, chose one that did not smell like smoke. I do like the fact that you can walk out, check out several cars, and then choose the car that suits you the best. Also, the return process was quick and painless. AND it was a great price. I will definitely rent from Alamo again.
Cons: The fact that the car rental facilities are so far from the terminal. But they all are, so Alamo is no different than the rest.

car great--service could be nicer
Pros: The car was fine. They were out of economy cars so just told us to pick a mid-size one, and we had no problems with the car at all.
Cons: I bought the insurance offered by Kayak, which I told the clerk when he tried to sell me insurance, He was belligerent about it, saying they don't accept internet insurance (said with a sneer). He made it sound like I had bought the insurance on the street, from a dope peddler. He also quoted me a higher price than I was quoted on Kayak and when I showed him the paper he said that the price he quoted was for four days, not three. We did get the car back in time to get the three-day price, so I don't think I was overcharged. But he was very dismissive about our reservation. I asked him why they rent their cars through Kayak if they don't want to honor what's offered there. VERY RUDE.

Quick and painless
Pros: Bill was what the estimate AND the reservation said it was going to be.
Pros: Car rental made simple and efficient. The desk attendee at pick up was knowledgeable, upbeat and efficient. The car was in good condition and the employee who we return it to did his job efficiently. We don't care much about the company but we thank the people we dealt with at the Dulles airport facility.

Pros: The Toyota Corolla was a good car with backup camera. We were happy with it. Dropoff was quick and painless and the shuttle bus took us to the airport right away.
Cons: The line was slow. Seemed to be a hard sell on the insurance.
Car reeked of cigarette smoke.
There was no way to separate the car keys on the wire so my passengers had to stay with me when they wanted to go back to the car.

I don't like their devices
Pros: I have money in my card but when I swipe my card your sistem showed I don't have enough money. I was so disappointed bcz my wife and some of my friends was with Me. Then I went to Almo national. I used my same card over there and I hired a car, there services was excellent. I never come back to the advantage car services. It also wasted my 1.30 mints valuable time and I missed my party.

i was mislead
Cons: the princeline price said 114 with a 200 dollar deposit. I called to verify and was told the same. when i got there they charged me 350 dollars for the deposit and instead of unlimited miles they only tried to give me 150. so needless to say i did not get the car and went to another rental place

Cons: Inside of windshield was really dirty, made it unnecessarily hard to see in the fog, rain and darkness. Big safety hazard, if not just plain annoying. Also, gas tank was not full when I picked up the car.

Cons: This was a Prius which wasn't expected. Didnt much care to learn a whole new system of car for a 3 day visit.
Cons: The car was not clean or modern. I have always booked with Avis and never been dissatisfied with the car. This was awful and really turned me off using Avis again. When I have to drive I want to have a nice new car.

Cons: When I dropped my car at Dulles Airport Avis, there was a box left in the trunk. My father had unloaded the car and left the box in the trunk inadvertently. I didn't realize this had happened until a few hours later.
I called Avis and got very little assistance. Avis either did not do a sweep of the car to check, or threw my box away and would not tell me that. Either way, I am still without the box and don't know it location. I need it back!

Pros: The shuttle to the terminal was prompt & clean. The customer service rep was friendly, but unable to help.
Cons: I was overcharged for the vehicle after I dropped it off. Despite filling the tank, I was charged a $32 refueling fee.Took 4 separate conversations with customer service to adjust the charges and it still paid a higher than the rate I was told at the counter, "but there is nothing we can do about the representative giving you false information."
Cons: They told me when I rented the vehicle if I saw any damage. I pointed out the front bumper and they said that is normal wear and tear. When I returned the vehicle the lady hasseled me about the damage to the bumper. I told her what the previous day's representative said and she advised me that was incorrect. She began to hound me for my insurance information. When I asked why she stayed she was going to file a claim. I told her good luck bc the damage is almost underneath the vehicle and the insurance will call it a hazard of the roadway. I told her I purchased the additional insurance anyway. I felt like I had done something wrong and I put fewer than 20 miles on the vehicle. I was only in town for one night to attend a funeral. I will not be renting through Enterprise again. They're already not the cheapest.

Short term rental Dulles to Norfolk
Pros: Great customer service and quick, efficient rental process. Facility was clean and staff was very friendly and professional. Vehicle was new (~2000 miles) and in excellent shape.
Cons: Rated 1-star due to value for money. Rented this vehicle (minivan) for one day to drive to Norfolk and paid over $100 more than a vehicle of a higher class (intermediate SUV) that I had rented for a week in San Diego. The dropoff at an alternate location fee was $75, which I get, but the actual rental fee was excessive. In a pinch to get to Norfolk to meet an international flight due to weather cancellations so I didn't have many options.

Pros: Everything was quick and easy, once I created the reservation via Kayak. I was in line at Enterprise to rent a car due to my car being in the shop. I was unable to rent a car unless I made a reservation. So, I walked away to get cell signal, and then after using the app, I was able to book a reservation quickly and easily. I then walked back and the customer service was perfect.
Cons: I couldn't rent a car until I made a reservation online... I was able to within 5 minutes, but why did I have to walk away to do that? The cars existed and were available, or I wouldn't have been able to make the reservation.

Cons: The drop off place was closed, I had to spend long time to find someone who can talk to me, the phone I got from you didn't work, office has moved to another place and due to Thanks Giving was closed in Spite of the fact you said it is open.
I didn't have time to spare so I parked in the parking garage and left the key, I would appreciate some compensation for the loss of time and troubles returning the car

Cons: In my receipt i was specifically told i will not have to pay anything other than the amount i already paid however later i was charged 13+ extra $. I called their Customer care and they said these are some taxes.
Cons: Car was not thoughourily cleaned inside. Some misc wrappers,trash and someone's iPad case was left in my car rental. My biggest beaf with all national rental in Dulles is their car wash leave the car looking unclean. Either it uses way too much soap or the rinse doesn't work. must say this my first tainted experience with national.
