Fast but service could've been more helpful
Pros: They were very friendly and got my car ready fast. The woman behind the counter was great. Very efficient too.
Cons: The seating area is very sparse and feels cold. The guy who brought my car around didn't help with luggage loading in spite of my having been in the hospital the night before, so that was disappointing. The Nissan Altima they gave me had little power and visibility was tough in the driving rain.

Great service and car
Pros: The Hertz counter and San rafael was amazing! They made it painless simple and easy to get in and out. The drop off was a breeze! The car was better than expected, great gas mileage, and no hidden fees. Five stars all the way around!

reservation mistake
Pros: I managed to make a significant mistake in the reservation I made on-line, but it was quickly and easilycorrected at the pick-up location-for which I was very appreciative.

Ready to go car and great staff.

Cons: Passenger windshield wiper blade made a scratchy noise every time.

overcharged $79 in addition to already prepaid one day rental
Pros: the car I rented was fine
Cons: Picked up the car at 5:45 pm Thursday and asked if I can return the car after hours the following day (if I don't make it due to trafic in teh SF Bay Area), was told yes. Returned the car the following day at 6:15 pm with 5/8 level, which was 1/4 of the tank ABOVE what was recorded in the rental inspection form (3/8). I found out Hertz charged me $40.46 for not returning rental with the full tank (?), then $12 late fees, plus an extra day, all totalled $79. I send scanned copy of the vehicle inspection form to Hertz customer service. Apparently they are working on refund for late fees and gas overchages, but not the extra day. I must add that teh guy who processed my rental reservation was not happy with the daily rate I paid ($23.97), saying they don't make any money off it. NOT GOING BACK TO HERTZ EVER AGAIN!
