The roads in Cusco are much like the rest of Peru, especially the cities; they're narrow and traffic is heavy along most of them. These roads suit smaller, more compact and thinner models because they're easier to navigate and use up less fuel. If you're travelling in a larger group, large car hire in Cusco will do, but try to find a model that's thinner than most. You'll want to avoid anything flashy like a convertible when hiring a car in Cusco. If you can find a smaller four-wheel drive; that'll be the better option to deal with rough roads on the outskirts and between cities.
The speed limits in Cusco are the same as in the rest of Peru. When driving within city limits, the limit you'll stick to will be 50 km/h; while travelling on the open road, it’s limited to 90 km/h. If you're driving along major highways or motorways, the speed limit is capped at 100 km/h. Bear in mind, that locals tend to treat these limits as guidelines rather than the law, but you'll need to obey them, especially in the city, to avoid getting into trouble with the law.
There isn't much official parking space in Cusco unless you're close to a retail facility or centre, but these are generally unpaid parking spaces. It's important to try to find a hotel that offers free parking, to avoid leaving your car on the street in the evenings. Outside of the odd car park, most drivers in Cusco park their vehicles on the street where they can.

Pros:
Actually my trip was cancelled by me and I didn't have any problem with Europecar.Cons:
But I also had purchased an insurance policy by Alianz. Europecar reminded me to cancel insurance also but Alianz haven't replied to my requests. So I've lost money for insurance.8.8 Very Good

Pros:
We didn't die.Cons:
No pick up at airport which had been arranged. Taxi to office at my expense. Car was not ready for 2 1/2 hours- meant we had to drive at night which I wanted to avoid. Male rep pointed to left rear tire then to the where the jack was located. Tire went flat as we got near our hotel first night. Jack was not fitted for the vehicle (which had 97,000, kilos on it. Also duct tape on running panels, both sides of car.) Returned the car early but office was closed despite the sign saying they were open from 3-7 pm We were there at 5 pm. Was charge $40 for the flat time despite extra insurance I bought. Would never rent from Europe car again.6.0 Okay

Cons:
Pick up was a little slow. But we did change cars so that was part of it. Took over an hour to pick up. Other than that, no problems.5.2 Fair
Aug 2019
Pros:
The staff was friendly.Cons:
We put a small (less than one inch) scratch on the corner of the car on a panel that already had 3 or 4 much larger scratches that had not been repaired. To repair the scratch we were charged a ridiculous amount, particularly considering that they obviously do not repair small scratches.10.0 Wonderful

Jun 2021
Pros:
The location was close to the airport.Cons:
Didn't have a full tank of gas in the car (only a little more than 1/4 tank filled). When I left, I asked if they'd reimburse me if I brought the car back with additional gasoline and was told they would. But then I returned it, I was told I wouldn't get the money back for the additional gas in the car. I had to fight it until they gave me something. Car was not cleaned thoroughly (there were tickets from past renters still in the car) and the vehicle's brakes were in HORRIBLE condition. Additionally, they try to put a $5,000 USD hold on your credit card if you don't get insurance with them. One location in Cusco
