Staff was not willing to work with me whatsoever. I called ahead of time to make sure I could use a debit card for the deposit and the woman told me over the phone that I could. I get to pick it up after traveling by plane and the assistant manager told me that they are "just the people that answerCons:

Had to send email with subject line "cancel" to actually cancel because online cancel page was broken. Following website instructions, indicated cancel intentions and broken website. Got a "please use the website next time" reply, like I was too stupid to have done that the first time, rather than them acknowledging their broken page.Hertz

Cons:
When we got to the rental place in union station they informed us they were all out of cars even though we booked a convertible and had that reservation confirmed for several weeks prior. No one informed us that they ran out of cars until we arrived the day off. Very poor experience.2.0 Poor

Only charging someone for a car when they can actually pick the car up. I had to rent from another agency and the original rental I chose had a no refund policy so I’m out $200!2.0 Poor

I made a reservation for LAX, not Los Ángeles in general. If I put LAX, only the LAX station should show up. I made a reservation thinking that that’s the location my car was at. I got the place only to learn that my reservation was at another Avis that was 45 minutes away. Price wasn’t matched even though both stations are in the same city. I paid more than double what my reservation said it’d be. The guy that helped me was clueless as to how to do his job and needed assistance from 3 different employees. He couldn’t even spell my name. Everyone else was helped adequately and left happy. I left never wanting to come back. Luckily the staff at the SMX station is better trained and frindlier.2.0 Poor

I rented a mid-size car online, showed up and the only car was a minivan. I paid for the insurance online THROUGH YOUR WEBSITE, and when i showed up they told me it wouldn't cover the car since it was through a third party so i had to pay for insurance AGAIN. The car rental ended up being $50 more than stated on your website and what i agreed paying. Please contact me if you if you care to explain any of these. Otherwise if I don't hear back, my assumption will be confirmed that you are a greedy company who care more about your top line than the well-being of your customers.2.0 Poor
