The central location which had a lot of boutique shops surrounding it
The staff didn't answer the phone when we were drivingaround to find the hotel, the rooms were bare bones with no amenities whatsoever, the parking is a slightly discounted lot about a block away ($15 a day)
Everything was perfect. Very clean, super friendly and helpful staff, also great location!

Sleep Over Sauce provided an excellent location close to city hall, public transportation, and various restaurants.
Our hotel room was facing Gough Street so it was quite loud during the night with fire engines and evening party goers outside our window.Sleep Over Sauce is an urban guest house with an excellent location in the heart of San Francisco. While check in is a little awkward (you have to call a number posted on the door to be let in initially), once you get your room keys, it's just like any other hotel, except at an affordable price in the middle of the city. The rooms are cozy, well maintained, and clean. The bathroom is stocked with fresh towels, an ample amount of soap/shampoo, and hand soap. The bed is warm, soft, and positioned in front of a hanging flat screen tv. The only downside is that our room was facing the street making the night hours loud. In addition, rooms were not all that soundproof as we could hear other guest...

The hotel was clean but its really more of a boarding house than a hotel.
This was more of a boarding house than a hotel, with several rooms sharing a bathroom. Parking was a block away & several flights of stairs to room, no elevator. Would not refund $, did not stay anyway. Prefer to pay to stay somewhere else.

Very convenient to public transportation and all activities at the civic center.
The room was never made up and we had to go to the main desk to ask for towels. No coffee after the first day.Room are okay if you have things to do around the city. The rooms are too small to spend any time in and the elevator is so small it has a sign saying no more than four people at a time.
Great price and location
The hotel is above a restaurant and I could smell seafood in our room all the time.

We are nestled in a vibrant area known as Hayes Valley. We are perhaps San Franciscos best kept secret. Hayes Valley is centrally located to many of San Franciscos unique neighborhoods with about twenty different restaurants within a two block walk. Most areas are walkable or accessible by public transportation. Neighborhoods such as The Haight, Castro, Miss...

The Days Inn is a relatively old style motor inn with outside walkways, surrounding a parking lot. The room we rented was a king suite and it was fully refurbished and very comfortable. The AM breakfast is limited and minimal in its offerings but still a plus for those with children. In a city where it is almost impossible to find a parking place and if you can, it is extremely expensive, it was such a pleasure to pull into our parking lot and just park the car and walk to our room. The location is perfect to all points of interest and easy to access.
I stayed here while attending a conference at the Moscone Center. (The official conference hotels were a bit pricey on a grad-student budget.) The room was a bit small but very comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was fairly standard: cereal, fruit, toast/muffins. The hotel was within walking distance (about 1 1/2 miles) of the conference center, although some of the neighborhoods between the two were rather run down and a bit scary; there was also a bus stop half a block from the hotel. The free parking is a nice plus, but limited -- I'm not sure what the parking options are when the hotel lot is full.
