FAQs - booking Vietnam flights

  • What are my choices of destination airports in Vietnam?

Vietnam has three major international airports, each serving a different part of the country. Before unification, South and North Vietnam were separate countries, so to visit the northern region, book a flight to Hanoi Noibai Airport (HAN). If you’re travelling to the south of the country, the main airport is Ho Chi Minh City Airport (SGN). Da Nang International Airport (DAD) is in central Vietnam, roughly halfway between the other two.

  • What amenities can I expect at Mumbai Airport?

Mumbai Airport is a modern international air transit hub. It offers comprehensive limited mobility assistance in the form of its Meet and Assist Service. You can also hire wheelchairs or automated buggies if you need them to get around. Families can use the children’s play areas and child care rooms, and persons of faith can use one of the many prayer and meditation rooms.

  • Will I need a visa to visit Vietnam?

Indian citizens will need a visa to travel to Vietnam. Apply for one online via the Vietnamese Government website before you travel. Before making an application, ensure your passport is valid for a minimum of six months from the date you plan to enter Vietnam and a couple of blank pages. Once issued, your visa allows you to stay in the country for up to 30 days.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from Mumbai to Vietnam?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from Mumbai to Vietnam.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from Mumbai to Vietnam?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight to Vietnam from Mumbai is likely to change within 7 days, so travelers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from Mumbai to Vietnam?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional return ticket. You could then fly to Vietnam with an airline and back to Mumbai with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from Mumbai to Vietnam?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying to Vietnam from Mumbai up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

The Premium economy class is not the same as some other airlines because there are no economy seats on these planes. Basically you’re getting an economy seat that’s a little wider. The seats are not that much more comfortable. The service and food experience is similar to economy class on other Asian airlines. There aren’t enough toilets for the entire plane therefore we are forced to share the business class toilets that are closed off with curtains.

I requested an aisle seat and got a middle seat The flight gate was changed and the flight was delayed

In general good, but the machine seems to be long in operation and some functions were restricted as e. g. Adjusting of seats.

Seating cramped; close to toilet, foul smelling and noisy, very unhygienic and disease risk Free and paid Wi-Fi NOT accessible at all - misleading advertising Very expensive sunglasses disappeared from back seat pouch. Coffee disgusting and cold

It seems paying premium economy does not make difference with economy. No priority boarding, not worthy paying extra$$$ for premium economy.

The premium economy seats were not that great. It could have been more premium than economy seats.

A pc of cake or biscuit at least. The airport was like a maze need to take another bus to the main terminal to immigration.

Perfect experience from boarding through to leaving the flight, comfortable and personalised service from all staff, highly recommended

They are great with every aspect of customer service. Helped my elderly father and aided him with using the restroom.

Transfer within the same terminal and lots of facilities at the airport.

The plane had a technical problem it would delayed 10 hours but they just gave limited information and put all passengers into the Miracle lounge. Ther were not enough chairs and so on.

Ensure there is a choice of food for all customers and also enough food

An excellent airline; polite and courteous cabin crew, excellent meal and drink service. Highly recommended.

We boarded the plane at 1:20 pm It was hot. There was no air-conditioning It was stifling They kept us on the plane sitting there for 1 hour and 10 minutes

No space in between the seats as per them the average height of human is 5’3” and weight as 55, so seats are designed as per the same. Also, the aircraft was dirty and full of insects

when we arrived at Taipei no one help us to get boarding pass. we saw a few people there asked them for help but they just ignored us. There was a guy told us to call Starlux number to get help but we don’t know how to dial the number until there was a lady working there helped us to call Starlux customer then someone came down took us to another counter for boarding pass. Very confused and inconvenient. We might not choose Starlux again in the future.

There was no entertainment and food option limited But the service was first class on an economy flight

They didn't have a vegetarian food in spite of the ore order

Technical problems checking in. Had to wait a long time while they got things ready.

Vietnam airlines is just one step upper to the cheapest one (vietjet, if you wanted delays and cancel or feel like a criminal then vietjet is for you) for sure better customer cares and on time.

Service / food has to be much better. Staff were not very attentive to requests. Requested for a second serve of coke and got a weird look back from the host! Was also told they don’t have extra water bottles when I requested for one before sleep! Dinner time food was very minimum and average.

An overnight Doha to KL. Great sleep, good service and tasty food in business class

chaos boarding. Crew in business class seemed short staffed and lacking in attention to details initially, but did improve during flight.

Delayed, not enough information. Had to ask for refreshments, crew could have been more proactive

The best so far coz this time it was all male steward on the economy cluster. They were polite, efficient & genuinely courteous. They do not judge you when you ask for more food & peanuts.

Delayed for 45 minutes. Don't know what's the issue. Other than that, food was not to my satisfaction. However it's okay.

My first course flight (Aor-Kul) was cancelled in the morning, and they asked me to board the night flight hence I need to transit overnight for the 2nd flight (Kul-Myy) that supposed to be on the same day. The overnight stay was not provided, (I'm traveling with my spouse, a daughter (5 y.o.) and an infant (2 months old). Hence I booked Sama Sama Hotel at my own expense (fortunately using my enrich miles points). Other than this issue, all services is good.

My experience with the flight was okay. My experience checking in was absolutely terrible. I was told I needed to change my e-ticket number to check in because I missed my flight in PDX. Even when shown the itinerary, they didn't budge and sent me to KLM across the airport. KLM wasn't open until 8pm and my flight was at 7:30pm. Nobody made accommodations in any way to get me to KUL. To add insult to injury, they rescheduled my flight to the very next day, creating a very long layover and did not offer any hotel stay. After this, even worse, I found out later they delayed the first 7:30pm flight to 9:10pm. Meaning, I could have still boarded but they refused to even try to get me on the plane. As a result, I missed a day of work and lost pay for the day. Also, when I went to get my luggage, it wasn't there. It was STILL in Singapore. They had from 5:30pm to 5am to get my luggage onto the plane and they still couldn't get that right. This is the worst experience I've had flying anywhere in the past decade I've been travelling.

Orange juice change to mineral water . Should keep the orange juice.

Entertainment system was too old, crew were unorganised during boarding

Indigo attempts to make you pay for a seat during check in. I opted to not do this. The result - they allotted me and my minor son seats apart. In the interest of making maximum money, they seem to have lost common sense too. Similarly, even during the flight, the crew are busy trying to serve food to those who’ve already paid for it. By the time they’re done, it’s time to land and no one else is able to get anything. Sadly this seems to be what makes them profitable, customers just need to bear with it till a better airline comes along.

As usual invariably delayed Lots of time in getting chkd in baggage

Staff needs to be trained in managing customers better. Indigo appears to be a low cost airlines in all aspects.

Flight was delayed and also lots of mosquitoes on the flight

Two times the gate was changed and flight got delayed

INDIGO Never On Time & Always Prefer to Shuttle Passengers Like shuttle Corks

I did not like the communication gap existing amongst the staff and the customer. My flight to Nagpur was delayed by two and half hours but it was informed to me on email ( not by W.A. or SMS) when I have already left my home in Baner area. I was painfully detained at airport with luggage when the gate no. 10 was changed to 5. I'll never recommend your flight to anybody.

Seats don't recline, no charging points. New aircraft and very clean. Crew should serve some water atleast.

Wife and I were seated in separate seats across the aisle

There was inordinate delay without any plausible reason. This has become a normal feature of Indigo now a days.

Paid for seats near the window but given seats right at the back, near the toilets. This location was so noisy with the blasts from the aircraft engines blowing beside. Not a nice one 😞.

Flight was delayed 2 hours, which seems regular with this airline. Aircrew were avarage, friendly but robotic. At check in I asked for a spare seat. Got some stupid response about loading capacity (it was 85% full!) Then passengers behind jumped up and moved to vacant exit rows, they obviously didn't pay for. Waited over 20+ minutes to disembark, with ground staff trying to squash all passengers onto 1 bus. Causing even more delays. Unsafe and stupid! But this is a problem at Saigon airport. Overall a very average experience!

In experience we didn't even get water unless it was paid for. Even Bamboo Airlines provided free water. The flight was cold with no blanket being provided. The flight attendants were not responsive in keeping the passengers under control. I complained about fellow passengers playing loud music several times before one of the flight attendants to action. I will not recommend flying with Vietjet unless things improve.

I have few bad reviews about VietJet, but my experience was really good and it worth every penny..

Not even free water. NO legroom. Narrow seats. Not enough room to even hold a book at reading distance in front of you.

No food? No movies? No water?? On an international flight, really???

No water or snacks. Crew did not give us arrival cards. There was no need for more than 1 flight attendant as they did not do anything

I got to the airport and flight was cancelled without notice

Some chair in the flight should be maintained, but I think they may not have time to check every seats, since it is high demand in this period.

Our experience was the worst. Over 2 days flight was changed and delayed 4 times. Not impressed
