Just 10 minutes from the heart of downtown Madrid, Spain, is the NH Madrid Ventas hotel. It used to be called NH Parque Avenidas, but has been updated with recently renovated rooms.

The hotel has 199 rooms. They have a contemporary feel to them and are warm and inviting. There are three choices of rooms that include standard, superior, and junior suite with a terrace. Guests will enjoy hardwood floors, free WiFi, windows that are sound-proof, and air conditioning. The Junior Suite has a view of the bullring at Las Ventas.

The NH Ventas Restaurant is the hotel’s on-site restaurant that is open every day and serves all three meals. There are international options and local foods, as well as options for children. Pros (+) The staff was very nice. The breakfast was very good.
Cons (-) The room was extremely hot. There was no option to reduce the temperature of the room. A member of the staff offered to change our room to a smaller one that was less warm. We strongly recommend having a thermostat in each room that allows reducing the temperature when it's substantially higher than the one outside.
