At no point did the clerk indicate on Friday, stressing we went in person, that closing time was 12 o'clock even though we repeatedly stated that we would pick up the van at 2 pm. Is that one star or less?

The rental agency clerk i liked named Oscar, The Truck I booked was not at the rental place i booked at, at some point they realized I was coming in for 12 .00 pm and they had no truck there for me. So they Phoned me and told me they are going to another location and bring one back to the rental place I booked with fine. 2 hrs later the truck was ready. I was greeted by courteous staff. I arrived a couple hours earlier than my reservation. No issues the staff were very accommodating. Brendon was the agent that looked after me. He did a great job. The pick up was quick. The vehicle was clean. The rate was reasonable. The location was convenient. I'll definitely be back.
On Drop off hertz is in between the car dealership under an overhang, sign is really small. Very hard to find I had to ask a salesman as I could not see it.

I made a review for Hertz, it was quite frustrating. The car I originally rented wasn't available and was given another car which then I found out right after leaving the lots (15 minutes away), the TPMS system was live and the wheel had a metal object lodge into it. Had to go to a different Hertz to exchange it after being on call with corporate for over 45 mins, then when I arrived there was told they didn't want to exchange at first. Half the day went to that and ended up being late for a play that I paid for because of the all of this.
Everything from the pick up and drop off was flawless, the vehichle it self was new and so comfortable. I'm extremely pleased with the experience

On the paperwork, the rental agreement, it clearly stated to bring the Visa Debit Card used to secure the rental, and pay in advance for the extra Insurance, when picking up the Rental. The Rep at Dollar REFUSED, telling me they DO NOT honour such an agreement and I must use a Credit Card. When my Friend offered His Credit Card, they again REFUSED. These guys are scammers!

When I booked I ordered an all wheel drive, the rental collection desk tried to change to a rear wheel drive, but the big issue was they changed my drop off time from 6pm to 5pm even though I never asked them to, I dropped the car off at 5:10pm, only to be billed an extra $50.

I booked through a third party. My car was supposed to be in terminal. It was not. I would’ve had to take a bus or taxi to pick up. Budget does not have shuttle service to off terminal rentals. I ended up paying $100 extra. Service was good and I was upgraded to a better vehicle. Budget was good. Third party booking was not so good.

Kayak advertised a 5 series bmw electric . I drove over 100 km to the airport location for this specific vehicle . When I arrived thrifty informed me that they do not carry the bmw 5 and that kayak wrongly advertised that car.

In their online listing the agency claimed to be in the terminal at Toronto airport but in fact we had to find our way with poor signage to an airport train that took us to a shuttle pickup which in turn took us to the offsite agency location. The second problem arose at checkin when we were surprised to learn there was a $17 per day fee for a spouse to be a second driver. Both the off-site location and the second driver fee should have had prominent mention in the Expedia listing.
