suitable hotel location, comfort, peace no big problems
Good location, nicely furnished, very friendly staff
Staff was helpful; good location; nice bathroom Room safe was broken
The rooms are large Noisy from both the Metro and other rooms. No information available regarding Paris. Very poor when compared with other hotels we have stayed in around Paris.
Everything was very nice. Rooms are very comfortable. Nice position, not far from Bastille
the area. the staff were rude and unhelpful, it was run like a hostel. it was incredibly overpriced, and there were no benefits to staying there and for the price it was - i would have been treated the same at a backpackers
The lovely relaxing ambience, breakfast and great position Some of the staff had difficulty dealing with some of our queries. Others were very efficient and very personable and polite.
Friendly night staff, room and garage We noticed the underground metro as well as the light transformers do not let you sleep well. Electrical noise.
The location of the hotel and the fact that it has 4 stars when the facilities perhaps suggest 3 stars.
good located in town (Marais is beautiful) - nice young ambiance
The location and fantastic courtyard. The fact that my doorkey did not work on 3 seperate occasions.
Good location and decor for the price. The air conditioning unit was very poor and badly situated - it was cumbersome and prevented proper closing of curtains. Breakfast service finished far too early and was far too expensive.
close to metro and bus The hotel staff except a couple were not friendly. Most of the guests were not friendly, they were upper class people and looked at me and my family as if we did not belong there. The room was clean but did not worth 280 Euro a night.
Helpful staff. Large room by Paris standards. A little too far from a Metro stop
the hotel was modern and beautifully presented. The rooms were comfortable and it was a pleasant surprise to find cooking facilties fitted in. n/a
Good size suite, very clean, facilities very smart, very helpful staff, good location. Would go back. Waiting for some time to check in.
My husband and I stayed three nights at Les Jardins on our honeymoon. We were very happy with our stay there. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is very lively on the weekends, with lots of restaurants to try out. There is a metro stop half a block away which allows easy access to all of Paris. The courtyard garden is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. We loved our room that overlooked the garden and it was quiet enough in the neighborhood that we kept our windows open most of the time. Breakfast was a little expensive but had a good variety of things to choose from.
The luxury of the room and of the hotel also Petit dejeuner: buffet was too frequently not approvisioned
The location of the hotel It was used and could need some renovation/cleaning by the staircases.
The space of the hotel in the triple room I stayed was great. The concierge staff were very helpful. I stayed in a block away from the main reception and luggage had to be dragged over cobbled stones. Also, I felt that the service staff at the cafe downstairs could be more attentive. We waited for 15 minutes for a menu that never came but other tables already got food and drinks. And when we asked, they said "It's coming!" which never did. We ended up on a cafe outside of the hotel.
Service was spectacular. The staff knows this is a small hotel and do their very best. Loved the staff. Room was nicely furnished. Bathroom had a rain shower head which was very pleasureful after long days of walking. Being a residential neighborhood, it was quite in the evenings. Staff spoke English very well. Wish the beds were plush but that is a personal preference.
The hotel was comfortable if compact and the location was good. It was a little noisy from traffic at the front
Position and size of room Did not think breakfast matched the standard of the hotel
one room was very large and one room was very small. the staff was very considerate and friendly.
Convenient location. Good room
Very helpful and polite staff. Room quite small but pleasant and with good bathroom / shower. Generally very clean. This is a decent and reasonably priced hotel in central Paris, something which can be hard to find. There was a problem with a smell from some of the bedclothes but we mentioned it and the bed was changed straight away and no further problems. The hotel is very near the Marais and the Bastille but the immediate surrounding area is a bit dull.
They were very accomodating for our family-- switched rooms around so our boys would be more comfortable. The staff was very nice to us, friendly, helpful. Good location, very European feel and yet easy for non-French-speaking tourists. Quiet. We have absolutely no complaints!!
the cleanliness of the room, its quietness (I had a room at the back), its warmth and the quality of the bedding/bed the room was very small for a double. I stayed on my own so it was no poblem but for a couple with suitcases space would definitely be at a premium.
great locatioon (not in the typical tourist areas) that was easy to get to, lots of nice restaurants nearby and fairly safe feeling neighbourhood the breakfast was expensive, wouuldn't recommend it, try one of the nearby pastisserie's instead
the location they overcharged me with 3 breakfasts/day for 2bed room
Location, Excellent staff, free wifi
Fridge did not work
Bastille De Launay is clean and comfortable. Good location near the Bastille. Rooms were compact but ok
It was clean The personnel was helpful and considerate
Closeness to le Marais and Bastille air condition did not work satisfactory
Good Location - about 10-15 minutes walk from Pompidu Center Free Wifi in room Modern, very clean bathroom Old building with wood beams in the room - nice There was no electrical water boiler in the room - to make tea/coffee The room temperature controller did not seem to have any effect
Good location, staff was very friendly and responsive, Breakfast buffet could be improved. We preferred the cafe across the street.
Kindness,Useful,Clean and Good Location!!!Especially Reception Staff is very good!
Great location, great price and excellent front desk staff. Nothing. All was good.
Nice location, excellent staff Very disapointing room. Dirty, internet not functionning at that time. I had problem with hot water in the shower, very expensive for the value.
Location was very good The bathroom cleanliness was poor when we arrived- the shower cabinet also leaked. The bedside lamp was held together by sticky tape and the leg of the chair was broken. None of these issues were addressed by staff.
We were able to get rooms there on the final night of our stay. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was particularly good. Quite noisy and no bar although the rooms did have minibars.
beautiful area. staff was very friendly. hotel was cute. very nontouristy. our only issues with the hotel were probably indicative of most of paris. room was a bit small (but if you ask for one with a shower they will get you one), and paris is just pricey in general.
I think it was to much money for the hotel and bfst
Great Bathroom - huge tub, great shower. Room was a little small, internet didn't work.
the staff, they could not have been more helpful. the hotal could use a face lift
Great location in the heart of the Marais. Lobby is attractive and the building is historic. Our room was very small and the only window was to a courtyard that was light all night. After two nights we moved to a roo, facing the street, which was better, but still small.
Excellent location; within walking distance to the Louvre and only a 2-minute walk to the Metro. Hotel was easy to find and a parking garage is located just down the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful; gave us maps with instructions on how to reach further sights.
great location and polite staff a bit pricy; not very soundproof so the noise can be annoying
good location, easy access to public transport, Wifi access accommocation was rather small, especially the bath room
Comfortable beds, always plenty of hot water, sufficient provision for basic needs.
friendly staff, clean room, great location the colour of the paint on the walls, to many paintings everywhere.
good location, friendly staff, good air conditioning small, charmless
Friendly and helpful staff; excellent location round the corner from St Paul metro station and taxi rank. Very near the lovely Place de Vosges also - great shops and restaurants. Like all hotels in Paris that I have seen, this one was pricey enough without being at all luxurious. The rooms were very small and a bit dowdy. There was a fair amount of noise from the street early in the morning. But that's just how it is in that city - the world outside makes up for it.
The district that the hotel was in, not the street. Opposite an ambulance station (sirens), heating controls - or lack of them.
Nice front desk service & comfortable lounge Small rooms, little closet space, a bit dusty
The hotel was actually in renovation process. It was uncomfortable
the location is the best and decoration in this hotel is great! Just room was a bit cold..but old buildings in paris are cold more or less.
Location, location, location. Breakfast was good. Rooms are quite small, but that is normal in Paris.
Good front desk service, good location Small rooms, little closet space, a bit dusty
The stay was very short, but enjoyable, staff was nice. I ordered a double room and we had a room with 2 twin beds put together. The cleaning lady came in twice while we were still in the room.
modern, clean, free wifi, great location, excellent helpful staff
Great location, clean room, polite staff.
Location is very good. Marais is beautiful. We paid the price for single as double ( 3 nigts, 10 Euro per night, means 30 Euros more then the reservation). Probably by mistake at reception. Rooms are small and some windows look inside into the small tunnel.
Location was excellent Walls very thin and a littel noisy on my first night there
The area is just amazing, close by are some really good restaurants and shops, just walking distance. I wish I was here sooner but ended up staying toward the end of my trip. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean!!
Great location: close to cool little boutiques and restaurants; this is now the 'hip' part of the Marais. 5 min walk to Republique metro station, 10 mins to Pompidou. Nice sized room, friendly staff with good english skills. Well appointed; not a luxury hotel, but definitely not budget either. Bed could be a little more comfortable.
People working at the reception were friendly and helpful.
The aderess is good The reception
The room clean and the staff were very kind and helpfull The room was very nice but a little bit to small
Location -- near restaurants, galleries; easy access to all the Marais has to offer. Located in busy area, but room was thankfully quiet. Staff very helpful. Small room, but comfortable bed. Surprised there was no soap dish in bathroom on sink or place for soap and shampoo in shower. Wouldn't take much to add them, along with a hook in bathroom for towels. Also, only one half-length mirror located in bathroom. there certainly is room in the bedroom for a full length mirror.
The room was clean and functional with a comfortable bed and a television that worked. The room was quite small, but as I was on my own for work, I didn't mind it as long as it was clean and modern.
Location, close to a lot of nice restaurants, bars, art and shopping is perfect.lot of flowers on facade and lobby makes it charming Extremely narrow corridors and lift,
The staff and the location
Despite the alleged renovation it reminded me of cheap hotels I knew in Paris in the 70s and 80s.
