Despite being ideally located for an overnight stay, guests at the Concourse Hotel at Los Angeles will be tempted to linger. With its elegant contemporary furnishings and chocolate-hued decor, the Concourse feels a world away from the busy airport right next door.
About the hotel
The Concourse Hotel is the most conveniently located hotel for LAX Airport and guests can roll straight from the plane to the comfort of the hotel thanks to a free guest shuttle which runs every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. Air-conditioned guest rooms guarantee a good night's sleep before or after flying, thanks to pillow-top mattresses and double-paned soundproof windows blocking the noise of planes outside. The casual restaurant and lively bar make it easy to while away the hours in good company and fitness conscious travelers can make the most of the hotel's outdoor pool and state of the art gym.
Guests wanting to get out and about during their stay or layover can easily find their way into Downtown LA or its surrounding attractions thanks to excellent and frequent transport links from the airport. There is also plenty to do in the area surrounding the Concourse, including a visit to the fascinating Automobile Driving Museum or a relaxing round at nearby Westchester Golf Course.
I like the ease of checking in and how I was text when my room was ready while I was at my meeting. Cafe was nice and lobby had nice areas to relax. I like the bed and different types of pillows to choose from is one of the best ideas. Staff was kind. I did feel that my floor was damp and I needed fresh air. I found that the windows can't be open i was disappointed. The operator said they will notify the engineer. I don't think any engenior can solve that air problem until new windows are placed. That is the main reason that this hotel is not receiving high stars.
Convenient to the airport
The hotel did not inform us that construction was being done on the floors starting at 6am. Needless to say, the stay was uncomfortable, disturbing and very noisy. So much so, that other guest were opening their doors to the hallway, to see where the noise was coming from. When I called down to the front desk, multiple times, to complain, nobody answered. When I check out and asked to speak to a manager, they said they couldn't do anything about it, and was not able to compensate me for my inconvenience.
Great location for flying in/out LAX. Good restaurant options. Wifi good. Shuttle available.
Shuttle took half hour to get to airport which could be 5-10 min walk. For location they should provide maps for walking to hotel/airport. No operable windows. Room had problem with AC which was eventually fixed but took too long.
The room was great! And the hotel overall was beautiful. Valet was quick and efficient.
Staff at front desk wasn't very helpful or attentive. The shuttle bus driver was wonderful though.
Proximity to LAX and runs round the clock. Perfect for an early, early flight.
They are heading down the upgrade trail - so it will still be convenient but not nearly the value.
Staff was great especially Viviangelica. I think that was her name. I forgot my ID and credit card at home. She wouldn't let me check in without it, yet she helped me find a solution.
There's nothing around there especially choices to eat. You're stuck with what the hotel offers, which isn't much especially if you have a healthy eating lifestyle. Make sure you rent a car.
- free shuttle from to/from airport - very comfy bed & pillows
- walls where much too thin. I could hear everything on either side of me.
Ease to LAX
Under Construction. Room was missing side table. Bathroom toilet seat not screwed down; shower head falling off. AC vent into room was quite dirty.
Liked the proximity to LAX and the free shuttle
Only 1 front desk staff member at a high volume time. Had to wait over half an hour to check in when it was already late and had an early flight the next morning
It was close to the airport.
Convenient and shuttle to LAX.
rooms are very dated and some deep cleaning needs to happen. Windows that don't open. Food at the lounge is very poor. Service there is not so great either.
I know the Hyatt just took it over and the place is planned for a renovation but at least keep what you have clean!!
Everything else. Old stinky carpets, nasty bathrooms, dusty curtains and so many other things. It is the single worst experience in hotels in my lifetime.
Convenient with lots of shuttles to/from airport
wet patches on carpet in room, beds felt a bit old
Location location location. If you are arriving or departing at odd hours early in the morning or late at night, this is a reasonable place to stay while in transit.
Smelled like old cigarette butts and stale farts.
Concierge staff was excellent and shuttle service to the airport was very convenient.
I like the staff the most. They were very attentive and helpful. Their dinning room was outstanding. Had breakfast there every day and lunch once. My lunch was the quality found in Beverly Hills. The valet was very good and efficient. My room was comfortable, had everything I needed.
The lock on my room door was sporadic. I complained to the front desk and they had a Maintance man there in 5 minutes. Think the problem was my putting key in my wallet
