The front desk staff were helpfull, the loby area was very clean and good to read a newspaper. in general the accommodation is not bad.
The hotel clean but bit old. the furniture was not as high class standard/luxary.. but the 2 room flat was wide enough to stay.
The cleaning staff is very good and friendly. The colour schemes in the bedrooms are lovely and make for a very 'warm' feeling.
The blankets were rather horrible. The staff at the desk downstaits have elevated inefficiency to an art form. The simplest things take inordinate amounts of time, and they are not familiar with their own systems, protocols and services.
the rooms were big
According to internetpage, Hotel had a complimentary Shuttle bus to the beach- receptionist did not know that and had to make some calls to find out. Aircondition were not working in the room. Everytime we wanted to access the Pool , the doors were closed and the 2nd time I had to wait over 20 mins. until somebody opened the door. When we came on booking, com via Tripadvisor, actually we saw the Hotel: Royal Ascot and also rooms and facility of this hotel, BUT we were booked in only Ascot Hotel, which is cheating
I am finding it very difficult to answer this question as there was nothing in particular about this hotel that I did actually like!!
The staff were very uninformative. I phoned the hotel 2 hours before check in to enquire if I needed my passport to check in or whether a British driving licence would be acceptable, I was informed that the driving licence would be fine.Upon arrival we were not aloud to check into the hotel as it is a legal obligation for all hotels within the uae to take copies of passports upon check in. However, the front desk staff were not aware of this!!! When we eventually organised the delivery of our passports from where they were being stored, we were checked into the room. The room had a very foul smell of smoke after I had requested a non smoking room!! When unpacking my bag into the clothes cupboard, the shelf fell down!! Need I say more!!??
