Pros: My first impression of the compact Yaris was that I could fit it in my purse. My purse benefited, however, from this extremely economical and easily driven automobile. The car handled over 1,000 miles extremely well - both the road conditions and the weather. Had great pickup, too, on the interstate. The Summerville, SC, Hertz pickup was very good. Eric was very courteous and took his time. He even put the back seats down for my luggage and ease of mind that no one could get in the back seat when I wasn't looking. Little things like that make a big impression. Plus the price for the rental was great considering the mileage I put on the car. However, since the Yaris had Texas plates, I figure I was getting the little car closer to home by dropping it off in Tulsa.
Cons: The inside windshield was not cleaned properly and was smeared. As I was headed west the whole time, the smears were both a distraction and an eyestrain.

Pros: Car was clean, enjoyed the XM radio, had to swap out vehicle because of an oil leak, but lady in airport where I swapped vehicles was very nice and helpful.
Cons: I had to swap vehicles, because of an oil leak, drove 1 1/2 hours out of my way and used my gas to get to the location. Didn't mind this but I called and requested to drop car off at a different location and was told I could not. Felt like that would have compensated for my time and gas on the swap. I know cars have mechanical issues, but when they do, the customer should be considered.

Do not ever try to rent from this place
Cons: Called a week prior to rental, asked about policies on using debit card for rental. They said it would be fine, just make sure I have enough for 200$ deposit. I go in to get my rental and they tell me that I can't get a rental (after I already booked a week in advance and payed) the man didn't seem very concerned in fact when I walked in I had to find someone because there was none to be found!! When I called this number he gave me to get my money back the lady laughed at my email address (real professional, right?) and then said that she would have to "see about putting in a request NEXT WEEK to get my money, after she puts in the request it will take 10 BUSINESS DAYS" When I asked to speak to a supervisor she refused and only apologized after I told her how horrible the company is and she offered me a certificate... okay... you guys will not rent me a car what's a certificate going to do for me? She clearly didn't care either and refused to send me over to a manager even after I asked 3 times. I will never again try to use this horrible, unprofessional company who clearly doesn't care about their customers.
