Cons: They lied about the overall cost up front and charged a ridiculous amount upon returning the vehicle. I will NEVER use Hertz again!!

Worst rental car experience ever.
Pros: We liked nothing!
Cons: After filling out all of the paperwork we were taken out to the lot to review the car which had a big scratch on the red paint plus damage on the other side of the car. The interior of the car was soiled and interior dirty. We were told there were no other cars available. We decided to go to Avis and had a wonderful experience. A nice clean car with no scrapes or dents.

Pros: Drop off last cation was fine, the car was clean and had no mechanical problems.
Cons: I dropped by a few minutes early to pick up my rental. I wasn't in a hurry and could have waited. The agent told me that my car was ready and gave me the keys. However, he failed to mention that though my rental was $130 per day, it would be an extra $95 PER HOUR! I'm not sure how this is justifiable but whatever, it was never explained to me. This alone would not have been a problem because I returned the car 30 minutes early. The agent in Medford took the keys and told me I was all set. I asked him for the total charge and he said he didn't know and that I'd just have to wait for the emailed bill to find out. When I got the bill I found out that the car wasn't entered as returned until half an hour after I dropped it off and that I was being charged an extra $95. I was really upset and emailed billing support. I got a response from "Janet N" saying that they are right and I'm wrong and there's nothing they will do about it. I cannot recommend Hertz with this kind of customer service and will do my best to avoid Hertz in the future.

Pros: The young woman in Medford was excellent. But there should be no need to play the lottery when renting a car. I took the "way to high "extra charge of insurance to protect myself from Hertz "just in case" Hertz probably sees it as "an extra service" instead of an extra charge. I bought the tank of gas because I needed to catch a plane in Portland not because if was a fair way to do business. I paid 200.00 for two one way rentals, one with Hertz and one with Budget, and only drove them for less than 500 miles in total. I paid 192.00 to travel from Portland to Detroit. Not happy with ripoffs ever, Enjoy my hard earned money.
Cons: It should be law that an auto rental includes protecting the auto company and the customer completely in a fair price. You gave me a rate to get me to book, then handed me a pair of dice to gamble whether I wanted to risk tremendous personal financial personal exposure or pay a ridiculously high fee to protect myself. Airlines should start charging a fee for life vests and access to oxygen masks instead of including them in the price. Not likely to need them, but you never know? As a service industry, car companies are right up there in misleading advertisement. You see the price, but it always cost you double that or more. Unless you are a fan of gambling.

Pros: The Customer Service Agent at the Medford airport ticket counter was excllent. His name was Wyatt and he went out of his way to make sure that we were taken care of efficiently, and with a welcoming attitude. Thanks!
Cons: The Hundai Elantra has good features but doesn't shift very well. Maybe just this particular car, but it would shift into higher gears sooner than it should and then not down-shift as soon as it should have.

Cons: When I got there, after having a reservation they were closed! Closed! I went to the airport location where they said it would be around close to $60 more. I will never make a reservation here again.

Cons: Pick up address was an empty building. I called the number and they told me they had moved so got directions to new site. When I picked up I was told to drop off on Saturday by 5 pm. I got there about 1:15 pm and waited behind a man picking up a vehicle. When the agent returned she told me they close at 1 pm on Saturday and did not return until Monday. I was not happy. I refuse to pay for 2 extra days because they did not give me correct information.
Pros: The best part about the enterprise experience was how quick he counter people were!
Cons: Slight smoke smell in the car but it was ok

Made reservation but couldn't get car.
Cons: They accepted my reservation online but I didn't find out until I got there that they wouldn't give me a car since I don't have a credit card. I think this inflexible policy needs some work. There was literally nothing I could do so I had to go to a competitor, where they were able to help me, though it cost much due to short notice. Enterprise was a waste of a booking and I will just use the competitor in the future.
