Pros: Yea, you have to take a shuttle from the airport to the rental place, but the drivers get you there with a sense of urgency. Once at the counter they were very quick and efficient with getting me the vehicle. They didn't try to push the extras on me which was also nice.
Cons: It was slightly confusing where to go to pick up the shuttle back to the airport, but one of the guys saw me looking around like a doofus and told me where to go.

Don't use if you are on a tight schedule
Pros: They had the car ready to go when we finally arrived at their facility. They let me leave the car and keys on the desk with my email address because I was in a hurry.
Cons: We watched several shuttles come hang go for other rental companies before one arrived for Payless. Hertz and Enterprise had between 5 & 7 come and go before we got on with Payless.

Fast and easy
Pros: I would use them again. Fast and easy pick up from the airport and at the car rental location. Great price.

Pros: The car was what I expected. Pickup and drop off is relatively easy. The location is off airport but not too far way. Only takes ~5min by the shuttle.
Cons: When I picked up the car, they put the gas option on my rental although I didn't ask for it in my quote. They said it would be taken off from my final payment if I returned the car with full gas. However when I returned the car (with a full tank of gas), they couldn't take the charge off, the agent tried a few times but their computer system didn't allow him to do so. I had to catch my flight, so the agent told me that he would ask someone else to help later. They eventually managed to give me the refund, but not all of them (only a few dollars off). I would give a higher rating if there was not such an incident.

Cons: Pick up & drop off facility was the pits. Transportation van was only marked with a small piece of paper with Payless written on it.

Good value and nice staff
Pros: The vehicle was a new Ford, in good shape. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Car wasn't very clean on the interior - floors, windows, etc.

Not very impressed....
Pros: The car itself was comfortable and easy to drive.
Cons: The staff there was very unfriendly and not helpful. I arrived and they tried to charge me more than the price I was quoted, by an additional $60.00! When I complained, the man said he would change it in the computer. When I informed him that would not do, that I wanted it in writing, he scowled and gave me a nasty look.
Yesterday at drop off their printer was not working, so they said they would email me a receipt. Guess what? No receipt as of yet. Now I have to go and call and track it down. NOT impressed at all, and will likely never use this company again.

Good overall, but watch out for extra charges
Pros: The van to the airport was very fast and timely. The pickup and dropoff were very quick and easy. The car we rented was great, it saved a lot of gas, was the Hundai Accent. I recommend this car, as it got over 30 mpg on highway.
Cons: The van pick-up at airport took a while. Maybe 25 minutes waiting at the curb for van. The guy at the counter charged me extra for rental, until I read the bill carefully. So I recommend always reading the bill carefully before signing off.
Pros: Good natured employees that are well meaning but are not motivated to provide good service.
Cons: They said the shuttle would come every 15-20 minutes. I had to wait 35 min. Once we arrived, you'll need to provide your insurance information (policy # and exp. date) - I've never had to provide that to any other rental place.

Cons: I waited too long to be picked up and then learned at the desk that I was too old (74) to rent a car from them. There was nothing in your rental information nor was there any signs in the office to inform me that they had rental restrictions on age. I've researched the other rental companies and learned that none of them restricted there rental to those over 73.
I know it is common to rental companies overseas, but not here.
They tried to find a car for me at other companies without success but did take me back to the airport. It cost me more than 4 extra hours before I found a car, but $150 more than the one I rented. From you.

Pros: They have tons of jeep wranglers
Cons: Waited for more than an hour to get the car, they did not have it ready. The extra charges they have for insurance and ipass become more expensive than renting at National or Alamo.

Pros: They suck they don't rent cars to LOCALS THAT SHOULD BE IN BIG BOLD LETTERS WHEN RESERVING FOR THAT LOCATION IT WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME EVEN TRAVELING WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO OUT OF TOWNERS EITHER MANAGEMENT WAS RUDE THEY ACTUAL NEED TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS

Pros: The people were pleasant and efficient. We didn't have to hunt for a car, it was pulled up and ready for us. Make sure you have a copy of your insurance.
Cons: There is a huge charge if you don't bring the car back full of gas but that is pretty much like all the others and we were told that up front.

Horrible Customer Experience
Cons: Since when do car rental companies force insurance on you unless you have physical proof of your own? Horrible CX as I have to pull out my laptop to log into my insurance account. They insist on an expiration date which doesn't exist on any page. So I have to take their insurance against my will. #THEWORST! She actually yelled at me when I asked her to stop quoting the policy verbatim to me how proof of insurance is plainly stated in the terms and conditions, which of course no one reads. I then said calmly if you want to ensure a good customer experience you should state that very plainly in big letters everywhere - I would have been happy to pull my insurance card out of my car and bring it with me. She then walked away from her post and said she couldn't deal with me anymore. Unbelievable. Never renting from them again and telling everyone I know on every rating site.

Nickel and dimed
Cons: I cannot state strongly enough about the deception from routes car rental! Upon picking up our car, we found the charge would be nearly $200 more than the quoted price due to "illinois requirement" for liability insurance. This cost was not mentioned anywhere previously, nor was the extra cost per day for additional drivers. Extra charges were also heaped on for general fees and the company being able to run a shuttle service at the airport- $15! We are not novice car renters and found the extent of these charges to be egregious!
The staff was considerate and gave us a free upgrade in exchange for my obvious anger at the price surprise. However- I would much rather have had the smaller car and the smaller price tag! Had I wanted the larger car I would have paid more money and reserved the larger car in the first place!!
Upon return of the car we were surprised by even more additional charges!! We were stuck in traffic and although we called to inform them we would be late, our 1 hour delay cost $100! The assistant also dismissed it as "a minimal cost for exceeding your grace period". What were we supposed to do other than call and let them know we would be late? Also- why couldn't they let us know upon check in that there was a fee for being late? OR they could have confirmed the return time when we picked up the car to avoid the issue. Neither was done for us.
Our rental car ended up being nearly twice the intended cost, and while it may have been unimportant for some, was a serious financial hinderance to our vacation. Not only was the cost painful, but the stress caused by routes has left a lasting impression. We will never rent through them again!

"You checked the box online somewhere"
Pros: Got screwed over and had to improvise because I booked online with my credit card and name and wanted someone else to be the driver. The website let us do it however in person they wanted to charge us more. Pathetic treatment by the manager.

Pros: Easy airport suttle
Cons: I had charge $100 for putting a black ice Accent in the car
The car smelled bad when I left the promisses.
They said need to clean the car when rolling down the windows will fix the problem.
If you have a car that smell bad dont rent it to people and then take their money to clean it,
First of all I DONT SMOKE
I was advised to not smoke inside but
The front desk Lady who did my paper work brough the car to me from the lot, so she knew how smell inside. Thats why I suppose it was ok and made the mistake not coming back to report it right away
Nobody asked me if I need airport shuttle. I had to come back and ask for it.
