Cons: You were not open so I had to go to Hertz to help menper your sign. My quote was 85 dollars which turnes to 312 dollars. Car wasnt clean. Computer system was slow. Clerk could careless if there was a line. Very poor customer service

Very easy and straightforward
Pros: Hourly rentals
Easy to extend

Cons: The employee charged me more than the deal I got on Kayak.com although I booked the car 10 minutes before picking it up. And when I told him about it, he said that they are free to change it to whatever they like and that I agreed on that when I signed the deal online (the fine print) I found that to be disturbing!!! He only added few dollars and I was in a hurry so I didn't argue.

Cons: There was a very long line and when I went to the garage where the cars were there were no attendance. So I ended up renting from another agency.

fee was much more then expected
Pros: The Airport clerk was pleasant and efficient at 6 AM
Cons: Arrived at the desk after hours due to plane delay and slept for a few hours in the airport... when the clerk arrived he mentioned that Hertz honored Dollar reservations so I could have made it to the hotel that night!
Emailed the bill due to having to rush to catch a plane- way more money then I expected... I expected a fee for gas that I did not prepay but not at over 10 bucks a gallon! email asking about the fee bounced back when I saw it this morning....

Problem with Pick Up
Pros: The people were really nice, drop off was easy.
Cons: When I was assigned a car, I went down and there were no cars in the designated spots. Then I tried finding someone. I waited for 20 minutes and no one showed up. I was not the only one waiting. No one ever showed up.

Cons: We were given an estimate 3 times greater than the actual bill.
Also,mother person who checked us in was not use friendly, at all.

Pros: The car itself was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The service was TERRIBLE. My pick-up took well over an hour and I was given incorrect information about the return process causing that to take an increased amount of time. Would NOT recommend. Shell out a few more bucks for a better company!

Cons: When we returned our car they over charged our daily rate. Then we saw in our bank account they made two charges both more then what our receipt said. Still have not been able to talk to anyone as to what the charges are for.

Cons: There was nobody there when I dropped the car off. Just a security guard watching the car rental area for multiple vendors. Felt strange leaving the key in an unlocked car and walking away, without a signature from Dollar acknowledging I returned the car in good shape, etc.
Cons: I didn't like that I was not told that thereally was an upgrade charge of $30 even though I had a reservation.

Pros: good car, counter person helped well
Cons: reservation made for different area airport - have never had that happen and quite sure i input the one i always fly in and out of.
very surpirsed that in MN in December (3 degrees outside), there was no snow brush in the car and when i asked, none were readily available.

Car Rental Made for Wrong Terminal
Pros: Car was very comfortable. Very clean. Desk agents were very friendly and helpful. Despite car pick up being assigned to the wrong terminal, the desk agent did accommodate very nicely.
Cons: The fact that the car reservation pick up location was assigned to the wrong terminal despite providing the flight information ahead of time.

Overcharge because of a known "glitch" in the syst
Cons: When I brought my car back they tried to charge me an extra 18.25 saying that it's a "glitch" in the system. The additional was a fuel surcharge even though I said I would bring it back full and I did including showing the attendant my has receipt. I wonder how many people don't notice or have the time (an extra 15 min) to deal with it.

Cons: Expected Hyundai Elantra. Received Chev Malibu. Inferior car.
Pros: Nice, new chevy SUV, very clean and comfortable.
Cons: I suggest Avis review their check-in procedure which was painfully slow with many things to be entered, coworkers to be consulted and two phone calls in the middle of it. Also took 20 minutes to actually produce the car after rental procedure itself. As long as they have been doing this, I'd think things would be more streamlined.

no window washing fluid
Pros: great car; convenient pick-up and drop-off
Cons: I rented in in late Minneapolis and had a long drive. There wasn't any window washing fluid, which made visibility difficult. This is something that should be checked in the winter for every car.

Pros: The price was fantastic. That same rental would have been 4 times the price we paid if we had not reserved the car in advance thru Kayak. Also the agent at Avis upgraded us from economy to a SUV for only an additional 6.00 per day charge. I will definitely use Kayak again for my next car rental.

Pros: Vehicle was perfect for what we needed. Representative was friendly and helped us get a great value for our two week rental.

Cons: The cost of the car ended up being much more expensive, insurance was much more expensive. Customer service was bad. Car wasn't in good repair, dents and scratches, crack in the windshield. No accountability on Avis' side, a writing pad to mark issues was basically thrown at us. Won't be renting with Avis EVER again. Was extremely disappointed to say the least.
