Rochester Vacations

Rochester was originally known as "The Young Lion of the West", which makes no sense, and then as the "Flour City" because by 1838, it was the largest flour-producing city in the country. There are lots of romantic, luxurious Bed and Breakfast Inns to stay at for that touch of home away from home, as well as the hotels. If nothing else, Rochester has some fun as well as interesting museums to explore in and around the area including the Victorian Doll Museum, the Strong National Museum of Play, the George Eastman Museum, the Corning Museum, and hey, there’s always room for the Jell-O Museum. Other places of interest include the Genesee Country Village and Museum, and the Rochester Museum and Science Center, as well as the Seneca Park Zoo.
