Jerusalem, the holy city. It is truly a city of wonder, spirituality, and, believe it or not, fun. This city is home to major pilgrimage sites for each of the three monotheistic religions. The Western (or Wailing) Wall for Jews, the Dome of the Rock for Muslims, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher all stand steps away from each other, if not literally atop one another. This proximity is not only a source of the infamous conflicts in region, but can also be a source of cohesion. As one walks through the "Old City" of Jerusalem, from the Christian Quarter, to the Jewish Quarter, to the Armenian Quarter, to the Muslim Quarter, you cannot help but notice how each quarter blends into the next without delineation. It is apparent how each culture has rubbed off on the next, as they have all been rubbing shoulders in Jerusalem for centuries.
