Fargo is located in the northeast corner of the state near the Minnesota border and was founded as a train depot for the Red River Valley in 1872. Along with its close neighbor, Moorhead, it offers tourists plenty to see and do during their visit including the Fargo Air Museum with its historic aircraft; Bonanzaville USA, a step back in life on the old frontier; The Roger Maris Museum, and other places that are fun for both adults and children. The kids will especially like the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center with its hands-on interactive displays and the Red River Zoo.
