Website
San Diego International Airport is located a short distance from Downtown San Diego. Since San Diego is a favorite tourist and vacation destination, travelers from across the United States pass through the halls each day. This airport has an important role in history. It's commonly referred to as Lindbergh Field because Charles Lindbergh departed from San Diego in the first solo non-stop flight.
San Diego is a very busy airport. Even so, the airport features only one runway, which doesn't allow for many international arrival or departure flights. Nonetheless, international arrivals and departures operate from the airport. International destinations include Mexico and Canada. Currently, more than 20 airlines serve the airport. These include carriers such as Delta, Northwest, Jet Blue, Midwest, United, Aloha, and American. The majority of flights are offered by Southwest Airlines.
San Diego International Airport features three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the Commute Terminal. The terminals are easy to navigate and information boards are located throughout the facility. Passenger amenities include on-site postal service, business service, restaurants, retail shops, and more.
