Kansas City International is one of the busiest airports in the United States. Each day more than ten million travelers pass through the terminals on their way to other U.S cities and international destinations. This airport also serves as a major hub for nearby states such as Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.
The airport is situated 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City, and travelers can easily access local hotels, public transportation, and restaurants. Kansas City International is an up to date airport that features easy-to-navigate terminals, international terminal, business services, and more. Currently there are three terminals, and the airport serves several main carriers such as Delta, Southwest, Continental, Northwest, and United. International carriers include Air Canada.
All three terminals have their own security checkpoint. This contributes to fast moving security lines. Long-term and short-term parking garages are located beneath each terminal, and there is adequate space to accommodate more than 2,400 vehicles. Nearby parking garages shorten the distance from the curb to the gate. Each terminal features a business center, ATM, baggage claim, restrooms, and shuttle service.
Directions
Kansas City International Airport is located off of I-29. Take exit 13, which is the airport exit.
Terminal A
Terminal A contains gates 1- 30. This terminal serves AirTran Airways, Air Canada, Midwest Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, and Mesa Airlines. The lower level contains short-term and long-term parking garage, car rentals, limo service, baggage claim, shuttles, security checkpoints, drop-off zone, check-in counter, and ticket counters. The upper level of Terminal A features ATM, restaurants, retails shops, restrooms, and business center. Ground transportation and public transportation (taxis and buses) are available outside the terminal.
Terminal B
Terminal B contains gates 31 - 60. This terminal serves Delta, Delta Connection, and Southwest. Located beneath Terminal B is a short-term and long-term parking garage. The lower level features baggage claim, drop-off zone, ground transportation, limo services, car rental companies, security checkpoints, ATM, and three ticket counters. Terminal B upper level contains family restrooms, business centers, restaurants, and coffee shops.
Terminal C
Terminal C contains gates 61- 90. This terminal serves Continental, American, Frontier, and Northwest. Passengers can access limos, taxis, buses, airport shuttle, and car rental companies on the ground level. The parking garage is located on the lower level and available for short-term and long-term parking. The lower level also contains baggage claim, security checkpoints, ticket counters, ATM, and restrooms. The upper level contains several restaurants, ATM, coffee shops, and retail stores.
