Pros:Honestly, we had a pretty terrible experience altogether.Cons:First of all, when we went to pick up our car they didn’t have one ready / cleaned. They tried to give us a pickup truck for our very long drive, even though I had reserved a car. Finally, they “found one” for us, but when the desk clerk asked one of the staff members to clean it for us, the gentleman loudly declared it was his lunch break and he wouldn’t do it. We then were given a very dirty car, which reeked of smoke and had cigarette burns in the seats. Especially during Covid, I did not feel safe driving the car until I had gone home to Lysol it myself. I asked for a different car, but was told that wasn’t possible. Then, when we began our 10 hour drive the next day, we had to stop every hour to fill the tire because the low pressure light kept coming on. There was damage to the tire (from a previous driver) and the air was leaking out at a rapid speed. It was super scary, and we felt very unsafe. When I called again, they said to take it to an Enterprise to have it swapped out once we got to our destination. When we finally got there (hours late due to stopping for air nine times), we called three different Enterprise locations, all of whom said they couldn’t help us. One lady even told me that she was just too busy to help because it was a Monday. Finally, customer service told us to drive it 30 minutes to the airport. When we got to the airport, we were again told that no one could help us. The manager at that location was extremely rude and said our only choice was to go have it repaired and cover the expenses and hope to be reimbursed at a later date. I felt so helpless, as we had just wasted four hours of our day and still didn’t have a safe car to drive home. We were totally given the runaround and ended up having to drive the defective car back, just hoping that the tire wouldn’t blow on our 10 hour drive through the mountains. Between that and the awful smell of smoke, this was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. I will never rent from Enterprise again.Reviewed 2 Nov 2020

No car availablePros:Nothing.Cons:Reserved car class was not available even though we verified the reservation the day before. Substitute was supposedly at a second location. When we got there that car was somewhere else and still required cleaning. Totally unsatisfactory experience, our last time with Enterprise.Reviewed 6 Oct 2017

Kayak needs to get its act togetherCons:Online I requested a rental car to be available at Dayton International Airport. I selected a vehicle on kayak. When I ride to the airport I found out The rental facility was 30 minutes away from the airport. I was never informed during the process that the rental was not on the property at the airport but 30 minutes away. Luckily Enterprise took my reservation at the airport if not I would have been in very bad shape to get to an important meeting. Awesome... Not!Cons:Why would you allow your customers a pick-up time at the same time the rental office closes? (Scheduled to pick up at noon, office closed at noon.) No one noticed it, not even the office who apparently was awaiting for my noon arrival since there was one minivan in the lot. I call to try and get the contract changed to another office, the guy I talked to was fast, but not thorough. He said the other office was still open and had minivans available. I go to the other office, and they tell me they have minivans, but they're all reserved for the next day. Awesome service... not!Reviewed 4 Oct 2016
