Pros:It had a decent breakfast and the staff was pleasant. The hotel had everything we needed. 2 beds for us to sleep on. We got up early the next day to eat breakfast and continue our trip. It was worth the money. We weren't looking for luxury.
Cons:The beds were only full size instead of queens and the blankets itty bitty. The over head light wire was sticking out of the ceiling.
Pros:I liked that I was able to book a room without advance notice. Normally, there isn't anything going on in Clinton, Mississippi that would prevent you from getting a room, but when my wife and I were there, graduation was taking place at local schools. Rooms were at a premium. The desk staff was very nice during the two nights I stayed at the Super 8. I didn't need anything from them except for check-in/check-out, but they were quite cordial. Breakfast was available, but very limited. There was ample parking and the lot was well lit. I was traveling by motorcycle and it didn't get stolen! So the Super 8 has that going for it. If I had my choice, I would not have stayed at the Super 8. But, it was a place to sleep and I checked out without any negative experiences to remember, save for a couple of dirty bath towels. I suppose it could have been worse.
Cons:The hotel does not have an elevator. Not a big deal since it is only 2 stories, but if you had a lot of luggage... well, you'd be "lugging" it up the stairs to the second story. The hotel has interior entry doors. I do not like hotels that have room doors that open out to the parking lot. Breakfast had very limited choices. Basically, cereal and coffee with some bread options. Nothing hot was available. The building is obviously old and smelled like it. The room was not necessarily dirty, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was clean. I used a bath towel and found that it had hair stuck in it from a previous guest. That is pretty gross, in my opinion.
